The Good The quality of the work was excellent and the value for that quality of work was outstanding. We are completely happy with the results (with the exception of some low voltage wiring mistakes that I had to correct later). The workers we had onsite for months were friendly (see comment below regarding management) The Bad In a project of this size it's inevitable that unexpected problems will arise. So the real question is how those problems are handled by your contractor. The owner of Cicileo Landscapes would never take responsibility for those problems and always attempted to push them back to us as added cost. I'm not talking about changes in scope or new discoveries made in the process of the job, but rather misreading of the design as specified in the contract, mistakes made by his workers that we insisted be redone, or failure on his part to recognize that certain design aspects were going to be incompatible until some part of the job had progressed to the point that the incompatibility was obvious and work had to be ripped out. The Ugly The project also took much longer than the length of time called out in the schedule portion of the contract (about 3x). We had to withhold progress payments several times to get attention put back on our project. The project management would not take direction from my wife, who was onsite continuously (our home). She would point out an obvious problem with work being done and be entirely ignored. Multiple times I had to take off from work to meet the project manager, point out the same problem my wife had pointed out to him and then it would get fixed. And even though the project manager KNEW he was going to catch **** from me for making me take time out from work, he still wouldn't listen to my wife.

Mike was friendly, timely, and followed through. He offered two different options so we could pick one that fit our budget. They did a great job the first day and had several guys doing an initial clean up (leftovers from the poor job the other company was doing). Subsequently we have one guy who comes to do the work. I like that because it's one person who knows everything that's going on with the property and is knowledgeable about everything. He's paying attention to details, willing to do an extra thing here and there, and is friendly, respectful and professional. Thank you for doing a great job Cicileo!

Cicileo Landscapes is Santa Barbara's award winning landscapers. Truly professional people, attune and attentive to your needs and requirements. I highly recommend! Every time they come over, they ask if their is anything special they could do. They have been a great help.

I liked them very much. I've used them several times. They were very responsive and they will correct any problems I have with their work. They were on time. They are a little higher priced than most.

I have used them for a variety of landscaping jobs, they have installed my current irrigation system, and they did landscaping and built a wall for me. I like them because they come when they say they are going to come, if they are going to be late they let me know, and they clean up after themselves. They give you an estimate and hold their price to the estimate. I will continue to use this company in the future.
