We hired this company to provide event lighting for our wedding reception. There were three different, connected rooms and a porch they had to light in a very popular hotel that hosts parties and weddings all the time. Bella Vista completed the typical table-spot -lighting okay. However, they'd charged us several hundred dollars to hang 14 lanterns in the ballroom area from the existing roof beams. The lanterns were key to the design of the space and cost thousands of dollars to rent. We paid them several days prior to the event, per their contract. Bella Vista Designs brought the wrong tools for the job (very thin, weak wires that did not hold the lanterns in place safely along the walls or above the dance floor). When the guests' safety was pointed out to them, 12 hours before the party even began, they decided to just forgo the lantern-hanging and leave. The room was left bare and undecorated. The expensive rented lanterns were left unused. Rather than trying to find another solution -- thicker wire, for instance, or offering a different kind of lamp (they were just 3 miles from their business address and could clearly have come up with paper lanterns or another alternative), they just left the project unfinished. After the fact, they refused to refund the several hundred dollars we paid them to hang these lanterns. I would strongly recommend against trusting this company with your event lighting. They do not take their clients seriously nor do they provide the services for which they are paid.
