AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION - SANTA BARBARA & VENTURA

It was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. Fritz came out and did a thorough leak detection. He was on time and so professional. This was very refreshing after a nightmare experience with the first plumber we contacted. Fritz communicated his findings to their technician, Andy. He arrived on time the following day and completed our job in an afternoon. He was so personable and pleasant to have in our home. Both men were very trustworthy. They were able to contain and work on the leak in our bathroom, rather than tearing our adjoining kitchen cabinetry out (as the first plumbers advised). We would highly recommend this business to anyone in our community.

Greg arrived on time on 4/3 to assess the puddle on one of the patio stairs that we first saw four days earlier.  He came equipped with an array of equipment that zero'ed in on a spot a few steps further up the slope as the source.  We had to schedule the repair for his next available appt. and were fine with that since we could turn off the water in that line when we weren't running the irrigation system.  The actual repair went just as planned you can't even tell where he removed/replaced the flagstone.  Greg was professional, thorough and meticulous with all aspects of the work.  When he finished we told him about an irrigation drain line (again, under the patio) that we discovered last winter was almost totally blocked by tree roots.  He ran his camera through the line until he found the tangle of roots, marked the spot and we again scheduled him to come back to jackhammer the concrete to see exactly what could be done to open up this drain line.  Arrived on time and went right to work.  To our surprise the roots weren't in the line, a giant root actually had crushed & split the pvc from the side.  He removed about 5 ft of crushed pvc and replaced it with that really heavy black pvc used for sewer lines with a nice big drain/clean out box so we won't have to cut concrete or flagstone if any more roots attack that line.   As this area was larger than his usual concrete repair, we decided to get a concrete person to finish the repair and probably will use flagstone instead of concrete since we'll never match the concrete &  this area is right outside our patio door.              
This was an  expensive undertaking (with the second repair running $1,600) but we felt very fortunate to find someone who diagnosed both problems correctly, repaired them & (in the case of the first repair) was able to replace the flagstone beautifully.   Uncontrolled water can be as destructive as fire so we didn't want to get it wrong.  
We would definitely recommend Greg & would use him again if we have the need.  Hopefully we won't.

The pool was losing water.  The provider visited several times to discover the leak, which turned out to be the spa, provided a solution, and then implemented it.

GREAT SERVICE, LEAK WAS NOT EASY TO FIND. ANOTHER COMPANY COULD NOT FIND LEAK. FLOOR IN FOYER HAD TO BE REMOVED AND THEY WERE VERY NEAT AND CLEAN WITH REMOVING HARD WOOD FLOOR.

AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL IN FINDING LEAKS FOR US. ONCE WE HAD A LEAK AT OUR POOL AND THEN IN OUR GARAGE, BOTH TIMES THEY FOUND THEM.
