Cecilio Duarte is a determined and creative professional. He's busy and sometimes his scheduling is a little loose, but he will do the job and correct it if there is a problem. He viewed our job as a challenge and saw it through.
We have a 1955 Mid-century Modern house with many original steel framed windows. When we undertook a remodel that swapped a bath with a dressing room to take advantage of a great view, we wanted to put in some additional windows. The existing steel windows throughout the house have very narrow frames that impart a very specific look that we wanted to retain. Cecilio came up with some creative solutions that accomplished this. One of these was to use the old double casement window we removed to permit the installation of a large fixed window over a new tub. We wanted a casement window as tall as the new fixed window, so Cecilio cut the old double frame apart and fabricated a new taller single one to fit. This also entailed cutting a slot for the window latch and tapping in new screw holes to mount the latch and the catch. All work perfectly.
Fortunately, Cecilio's shop isn't too far from us, so my dropping by there or having one of his guys come to the house on short notice was easier. There were some "glitches" in his various jobs, but he was excellent about correcting them - even if it meant removing and reinstalling a piece of glass.
