Response from A Jack Of All Trades
"When I first arrived, I checked the new faucet configuration and let her know it was not going to work well because the sink was set so far back against the wall that it didn't have enough room. But she insisted I install it. I removed the existing faucet and tried to install the new faucet. However, the new faucet under counter parts would not work on the extremely thick counter/sink so I had to take some parts from the old faucet and modify them. I showed and explained everything to her as it occurred. When I was done, she agreed the faucet configuration did not work well and she said she was going to get another faucet. She called me to install the new faucet. If I was so bad and took too long the first time, why did she call me back? When I went to disassemble the faucet, it wouldn't separate. I tried for a while but there isn't much room behind the sink and wall. I called tech support and they were surprised it wasn't coming apart. They got their best person on the phone and we tried a few more things before it finally came apart. Again, very difficult to reach anything from under the sink. Then I modified parts again to get the new faucet to fit the thick counter. Yes, she paid for my time on the phone with tech support because she bought the faucets. Had I bought them, I would have adjusted the time I billed for. If you brought parts to your mechanic and he had problems installing them, he wwould bill you for it. It has been months since this work was done. Maybe she forgot these problems. I remember them because I was the one under the sink fixing the problem. She was watching TV."

Amazing.  It took some time to get the job started but Jim kept in touch and found the first available slot but that was a good thing as I just moved back into the house after 15 years and my list of to-do items just kept growing. Once they started they worked weekends, evenings, whatever it took.  They are honest, funny, hardworking and kept the prices down by finding good shortcuts that made sense.
They are the best I have found in SB as Handymen.  Thanks Jim and Fransisco.  BTW, I have never done this before but I actually added a few hundred onto the bill because they did so much for so little.

Two men came to assemble a garden shed an hour later than appointment.  One mostly sat and read the instructions to younger man that he was training.  Together they were $85.00 an hour.  When it was done there were many mistakes and misalignments.  When they moved it to where it stands, I could barely open the doors.  They blamed it on the ground not being level, but didn't offer to use shims and didn't seem to care about the problems.  A few days later the owner of the business came to solve the problems and worked a few more hours and solved most of the issues and charged me 1.5 hours at $50.00 an hour.  He said the manufacturer's workmanship was at best "fair".  I paid $550 for the shed made of cedar from Canada.  All in all, not a great experience.

Previous job took longer than expected but we were notified by phone with updates.  I appreciated that he asked me questions about preferences without assuming anything. Everything was cleaned up and nothing left but the work that was done.

Everything was done very well. In addition, the worker took a closer look at the wall switch for the fan to ensure it was safe. He also cleaned a filter on a faucet for me. These two items were not on my original list. I would have him back in an instant. The problem is he is in Santa Barbara, which is a 40 minute drive from here and there is a half hour charge each way for that. But I will use him again in the future if possible.
