The $480 price included new foam inserts for the seat cushions. I provided the vinyl fabric I bought from A-1 Foam and Fabrics in Santa Ana for $170 additional. I also provided the fabric for the slip cover for the bolster pillow. I left the work with them on Monday afternoon, August 25. The work was done early Thursday morning, August 28. The woman I dealt with was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The quality of the work seems very good.

I went to three upholsters about making a queen size headboard that would look like a specific Restoration Hardware one. I did not want to order from Restoration Hardware because I wanted to use my own fabric and wanted better construction.
I rejected the first two upholsterers I considered because I wanted a company that would upholster the headboard, deliver it and install it at a reasonable price. The first upholsterer does high quality work at reasonable prices, but they don’t deliver and they make the holes used to connect the headboard to your bedframe at their location, based on your measurements, which made me uncomfortable. The second upholsterer delivers, drills the holes at your home and installs the headboard, but their price was ridiculously high. I don't remember how I found Hansa, but after looking at their beautiful website, I called and Lynn told me I could come to their workshop. She showed me around, where I saw many items at various stages. I am very fussy and I was able to see the high quality of their workmanship. I learned that Hansa does not order fabric; I had already picked out what I wanted and I was able to order it through another source. I gave Lynn a photo of the headboard style I wanted and the measurements. Unlike the other upholsterers, Alicia (the owner) and Lynn came to my home to look at the room where the headboard would go and take
measurements. The following week, I picked up a cardboard template that I took home and put behind my bed to confirm that the dimensions were what I wanted. It was perfect. I brought the template back to them, along with the fabric and two weeks later, my headboard was ready.
Michael and another gentleman came this morning to install the headboard. They were very friendly and helpful. I had moved everything away from the area to give them more space to work and they helped me move everything back and plug in the lamps and telephone into the outlet that is behind the bed.
Working with Lynn and Alicia was so easy and my headboard is so beautifully made that I will not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others.
