It was under $100, anywhere from $50 to $90. They were really good. I just get a little thing in my car that says, “get your oil changed!”

The most recent service was limited to replacing the alternator on our Odyssey. It was towed to the location after AAA driver had diagnosed that the alternator was the reason the car stalled/broke down. Freeway Honda confirmed the diagnosis and performed the replacement.
After we received the car back and drove home, we noticed a squeaky belt sound that was not present before. I did not speak up since I had no intention of taking the car to them for further service of what was likely an unrelated problem. However, If a noise is present, I expect the service representative to bring this to my attention and they did not. We did take the car in the next week to R and S Auto Care to have the car serviced, and it was found that a bearing on an idler pulley was the source of the noise. Another minor complaint is the radio required a security code to restore its operation. This is an expected consequence of disconnection the battery, but I would like the service station to either point that out to us or find the code and restore operation of the radio.
Pros:
- Service was done when they told us it would be done
- "Free" exterior car was is included
- They did take $50 off the total when I asked if there were any discounts available
Negatives:
- Too expensive... It is a dealership, parts and labor are always top dollar.
- Poor communication - although the repair was completed on time, they did not call us to inform us of the status, and this was after 2 calls to them to find status and neither call was returned. We were anxious to know of status since we had to coordinate the return of a rental car and avoid paying for an extra day.
- Took too long - This is less than 3 hours labor, but it took a full 24 hours to replace the alternator.

I have been going to them for many many years, they are kind like friends. They provide all the services for my car and they give coupons for the car and a discount in the price which I appreciate. They seem to be confident, knowledgeable and I know that their mechanics are well-trained.

I went on a test drive there. Then I did an internet price quote. They weren't the lowest but somebody else said that they had the lowest and they didn't actually have it. So I called these guys to check if they could match and they said they would. They matched the price and had the right one in stock. I filled out the paper work and took it up; it was very straightforward. It was pretty painless. The salesman was great. The test drive was eventful and low pressure. On the internet, they responded with price quotes.

This place is close to home and work. I received a coupon for major service at a good price, so I though I would give them a try.I called to make an appointment. The appointment was for 8:00 a.m. I showed up on time. Of course, the only person who could help me was the guy I made the appointment with. So, I had to wait about 10 minutes for him to finish up with his stuff even though there were two other service reps sitting in the office doing little or nothing.

I asked how long the service would take so I could plan my day. The guy said three maybe four hours. I asked about alignment, and he said they would check it and advise me about it. I asked if doing the alignment would significantly change the time they needed. He said they could perform the service and the alignment in three to four hours, tops. I said fine, let me know when it is ready.

At 12:30 my wife called me to see if I was ready to pick up the car because she wanted to go to lunch. I called the dealership and they said the car was not ready but it would be soon. I guess I sounded a bit upset because he offered to have the shuttle come pick me up because the car was taking longer than expected. I was okay with that.

Finally, at about 2:00, the guy calls and says the car is just about ready and they can come pick me up. The shuttle driver got my location after a bit of repeating. He came and picked me up, and we arrived at the dealership at about 2:30.So far, I would probably give them a better grade. Here is where things went down hill. It took me about 15 minutes before I could find anyone in the service department. When I found the guy he said the car had just gone on the alignment rack. He asked if I wanted them to take it down and do it some other day. I asked how much longer it would take. He said about 20 minutes. Well, I was kind of stuck there, so I told him okay. From that point, it took just about an hour for my car to come out. So, I wasted about 90 minutes at the dealership waiting for a car that was supposed to be ready about two hours before I got there. All in all, the service that was to take three to four hours tops took them eight and a half hours.

I am going to go home tonight to check the air filters that they supposedly replaced to make sure they are new because I don't think I really trust these guys.

Freeway Honda has always been good, their price is reasonable for an auto dealership. Every time we go for routine maintenance or any repairs they have always been fairly priced and they have always taken care of our problem fairly quickly. We have always had a good experience with them, they are fair.

I really didn't have a good experience, but I'm nervous whenever I buy something huge like a car, so that would be the same for anywhere I go. The test drive was nice, and it really helped me decide what model of car I preferred.

THEY DID THE WORK VERY QUICKLY, SO DID NOT MISS THE VERY IMPORTANT TEST IN LOS ANGELES. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE. THE CAR WAS WASHED FOR FREE. ALTHOUGH THE LIFE OF RADIATOR SEEMS TO BE SHORTER THAN EXPECTED.

OUR SERVICE ADVISOR ASKED TO KEEP THE CAR UNTIL THEIR SAFETY EXPERT COULD EXAMINE IT THOROUGHLY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK. HE WANTED TO ENSURE THE MOST QUALIFIED PERSON WOULD MAKE THAT DETERMINATION.
