They are great. They are my exclusive mechanic and bring up some step to them tomorrow. They have great price for a bill of $40. Anything works for me for a year. Actually, they gave me a package deal, they said the differential was $95, and the oil change was $40. So, whatever it would last was the tire. So they said $160.

I limped into FOX AUTO CARE (without an appointment) around 10AM after my 75 mile commute from Temecula with an overheated radiator. I have been to the shop before but I wouldn't say that I'm a regular customer. Ken was able to diagnose the problem and get me on the road before rush hour. I needed a new radiator for my 2000 GMC Sierra with 190K miles on the odometer. While he was at it I had him install a new water pump, thermostat, radiator cap and serpentine belt. Runs like new. Good for another 190K miles. Thanks Fox Auto. I LOVE THAT TRUCK!

A previous shop had improperly installed a replacement starter on my 1991 Chevrolet 1500 truck. It got progressively louder during startup. I brought it back several months later (I should not have waited so long) and it had vibrated so much from the improper installation that it broke the engine mount it was attached to. My options were to replace the engine or weld a new mount to the engine and remount the starter. Both options are very expensive considering this was due to an improper starter installation to begin with. This same previous shop then welded a mount on and installed a new starter, discounted the bill as it was their fault originally. It was not long before it was making noise again. I brought it to another shop and they said the shims were wrong. They re-shimmed it. It was not long before it was making noise again. Then I brought it to Fox.

They told me that the previous welded mount was not done as precise as it needed to be, and my options were to go through starters or constantly adjust the shims or pull the engine and have a new mount precisely welded on. I bought this truck new in 1992 and it's been indestructible, so I wanted to hold onto it. It was also old enough that it was blowing oil so it needed a lot of engine gasket replacement anyway. I opted to pull the engine out, have all the maintenance done that makes sense while you have an engine out anyway, and they remounted the starter with a new mount.

A few weeks after the repair my belt was making noise so they replaced the belt and tensioners, but it still made noise, so they replaced the belt again with a different one. They didn't charge me for the extra labor and additional parts it took to fix the noise problem.

It's been a few months now and the starter's been working great, the engine runs great, it's like having a new truck again.

UPDATE 03/20/2013

I'm still bringing my truck to Fox Auto and the starter has held until even now. They just checked on it again for me during its last service and the starter is doing fine.

We have used them many times. The business is family owned. They drop me off, and pick me up at home while they service my car. They go the extra mile to provide excellent service, at a reasonable price. Why would anyone want to use any place else?

I spent $500 on that work. My experience was excellent. It is family owned and they pick me up from home when the car is ready.

My brother recommended Fox, and I have used them ever since. I cannot give them a better rating for everything. They are trustworthy and professional at what they do. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and I bet you leave there with a smile! Tell Jackie that Randy Grago sent you!
