They came the next day and fixed the problem with the remotes and provided the usual maintenance.

Generally good - Roger was prompt, polite and neat. Visual quality of work was also good, however I cannot rate for reliability since it’s been less than a week. Roger was about 14% higher than the next quote but came to the house to give the quote and was willing to do the job immediately, so I went with him for the convenience. I would recommend him to others.

Gransel came out the morning after my garage door opener died. He called when he was on his way and arrived on time. We discussed what I would need after not doing anything to help my old opener operate for 20 years. Less than three hours later, I had a great new state of the art opener with enough horse power to lift my heavy plywood garage door. New springs were also installed with the safety hardware they should have always had but didn’t. I won’t have to be concerned about opening my garage door for another 20 years! Very good company and employees.

Rollers were replaced, however was told another partner was the weather stripping expert and he would connect with me. After a few days I called again asking to speak to the weather stripping expert and was told he would call me but never heard back from them.

Our garage door needed maintenance and I purchased one of Angie's deals for the service. The technician contacted me immediately after my purchase but we had to delay the service for several months. Once we were ready and I contacted the company someone was at our house the next day. We will certainly use this company again if we need servicing in the future.

False advertising. Never showed or called to do the garage door tuneup. A rip-off,. Collected money and didn't provide service.

Prompt and high quality work.

They were very good. The guy that they sent out was trying to hold his anger together so it makes it a little bit difficult. My remote never worked and he didn't want to believe that it didn't work. Then, when I finally, I went for months with a remote that I thought it was my fault, finally I couldn't stand it anymore. I called him and he sort of begrudgingly, he pretended he was nice, but that wasn't a good attitude and he replaced it. I think he did a good job. They do a good job and I would use him again. I think if you have to alter your personality to a begrudgingly guy, you are a good company. They are a good company. It was several thousand dollars to do it from scratch but it's very good. They put in a very good system. Whatever it is, it's very good. That guy is tricky, their foreman, but it doesn't matter. He knew he had to be nice to me because I knew his number. He turned his head around to be nicer and I just worry about other people, slightly. I think the price was higher, but well done. Sometimes, I found it's better to pay a little bit more and you hope that if you pay a little more, you get a good product. This is what I would say about them. You do get a good product. It was well done. No question about it. They're worth the money, they're worth the money. The quality was very good, very good. The responsiveness was excellent. Their punctuality was excellent. The professionalism is the one that was a little bit more "B-ish". They responded quickly and then it was the wrong color with the framing and I made him get the right color because it wasn't my fault. You have to really work with him and pound him on the head and you get what you want.

It was great. The service guy Roger was very accommodating and willing to work with my schedule. When he got there, he worked fasted and efficient.

It was great. I think it took him 30 minutes to do it. It was fantastic. I thought I would have to repair or replace more than that. He actually said no and that I only had to replace the spring. I thought I would have to replace the operator that pull the door up. He saved me time, money and repaired the one thing that needed to be repaired. He was efficient. He came out the very next day. It was fast service. I didn't have to wait a week. He was busy and made time for my repair. I was happy about that. I thought it was a little pricey for the springs. He was honest, and he knew what he was doing. I'll call him again. The total price was $357 but he gave me an $18 discount.

Two tension springs replaced with new 10,000 cycle ones. The work took 60 minutes from arrival to departure. No unexpected problems. One spring broke around 9am, and upon recommendation by a neighbor on recent work completed and quick research on Angie's List, I called Alcosta Overhead Door at 10am. Jack answered the call and scheduled a late afternoon, first available appointment, for the same day. Jack was reluctant to provide an estimate for spring(s) replacement. He said the technician will provide an estimate once he's on-site and takes a look at the spring. At 4:10pm, received call from Roger that he will be at the house in 30 minutes. Roger arrived and with a quick glance at the tension springs, quoted: $185 for labor, and $137 for each spring. What would you do, if your car had been stuck in the garage all day......and now, it's the end of the day? I was uneased with the pricing, but accepted it (had to leave for Santa Clara early the next morning). Roger was very knowledgeable on springs and garage repair and maintenance. He was focused on the repair and definitely, a man who loves his craft. Tips on Angie's List website advise to "head for the hills" if the cost of replacing garage door tension spring is north of $300. However, wasn't clear if for one or two springs. Outside of Angie's List, I found reference to the difference between replacing one and two springs should be around $50. Overall, the spring replacements were completed satisfactorily and the garage door is working. The same-day, late in the day work and single-sourced came at a cost premium. Lesson: consider only garage door repair shops willing to provide a quote over the phone.

It was great. They remounted my existing opener to correct problems from previous owner, quickly located the garage door, and did the installation in very quick turnaround time. Everything came out perfectly, on time, and competitively priced.

Excellent service. We were able to set up an appointment in short time. The repairman came over and was able to diagnose and repair the problem quickly. He was courteous and very professional. Also recommended some other work based on our discussions of the age of the garage door opener. I would definitely use them again

Our garage door got stuck on us - we could not get into our garage at all - there is only one entry as we live in a condo. The Alcosta Co. came out and fixed our door, after other companies told us they didn't even know how to fix the problem. We were both very impressed with the technician they sent out, Granzel. He was professional, timely, always kept me posted as to what was going on, and he got the job done. I would definitely recommend this company and would definitely use them again in the future.
