It was a terrible experience! Job was estimated to take 4 days max; however, this company repeatedly pulled workers off my job to send them elsewhere, constantly delaying the work. Their workers failed city inspections 3 times, and the company was finally charged a fine for their ineptness. The overall delay caused the job to run out to 36 days! When I finally reached the company owner to complain about his total lack of and concern for customer service, his comment to me was, “Hey lady, you’ve got water! What’s your problem?” He had no apologies nor willingness to negotiate a lower price based on his company’s terrible scheduling issues. I would not hire this company for the position of dogcatcher!

Perfect.
Bill was the project manager.
On time.
Did all the work quickly, with no discussion, no issues.
Needed time to come back and set the concrete, do finish work.
Quick painless, no issues at all.
Bid was sometimes more than 1/2 the price of the locals who "gouge" folks in our area.
It was a total joke.
These guys came in and in a few days knocked out the whole job.
Carmelo was the foreman onsite. They cleaned up the site when done. I saw the 60 year old pipes which came out.
I probably did not need to do "ALL" of the pipe, but the ones which were in the trench were the big issues, and that was probably 60 of the 180 feet, so the by the time they would go down and do the work, it was better to just do the whole thing.

Repipe1 came in, gave a estimate then went right to work next day. It was finished in 2 days with water back on.

Work done in good order and with lifetime guarantee. I researched the use of PEX-G piping in some detail and determined that the local community preference for copper piping was not justifiable. I decided on the PEX-G when I determined that the pipe material itself is manufactured by and installed extensively in near arctic conditions by UPONOR, a Finnish high end manufacturer. It has performed fully since installation 8 months ago.

The crew was extremely professional and hard-working, staying late to finish the main re-pipe job in one day. I went with PEX piping, but they will also install copper throughout. They dug the main line to the street and used copper for all the outdoor piping. They also moved an awkwardly placed outdoor faucet and installed a specialty showerhead without concern or extra charge. The drains took more time, since it was an added project. Yet, the greatest delay was scheduling the estimate, which only took a few days. The replastering crew also arrived on time and worked diligently. The company arranged the inspections and will pay up to $125 in fees as part of the contract. They got the inspections scheduled promptly, although with all the work I had done it took a few days before the final inspection could be completed. If only plumbing needs work, then the whole process should only take a couple days. My only complaint is that the paperwork is a little amateurish. I have an estimate with lots of scribbled figures but was not able to get a proper itemized breakdown of costs.

They arrived promptly and began working immediately. The work took all day but I had water service turned back on the same day. When they finished they informed me I had another leak in the bathroom that was outside their scope of work. There was a lag in the work while we waited for the city inspector. The inspector came two days after the start of the project and Repipe was back on Monday to patch the walls and fill in the trenches. I would have preferred to have the work done in consecutive days but cannot complain about the level of skill of the workers. All in all, I am happy with the work and would recommend this company to anyone looking to upgrade their plumbing.

They were very affordable, the product they put in is absolutely wonderful. They were very professional and hard working. The job was done in a little over a day mostly because they had trouble digging through some roots, and they worked really long hours to get it done. The company had to come back a few times just to fix a few cosmetic things like patching a few interior walls and the stucco on the exterior in some places. They finished all the things they said they were going to do, there were no surprise fees or additional costs. Overall the job was very well done and the service was wonderful.

The estimator, Bill, was a pleasure to work with.  He was professional, thorough, and very helpful, not at all high pressure. He described what the job involved and answered all of my questions. I chose Repipe 1 from three bids.  The work began in about a week and Romero, Ramon and Fili did a great job fitting and welding copper pipe. The job went smoothly. The two men who plastered were also excellent. Tina kept things rolling in the office scheduling appointments and letting me know arrival times. Romero had to return a few days later because a city inspector required an outdoor faucet to be away from some back stairs. This was an old faucet which had been there for over 30 years but Romero moved it and the inspection went well.
Repipe 1's owner, Daniel, has built a company whose reputation is hard to match. He hires competent and courteous people and keeps his prices competitive, whether you choose plastic or copper piping. He wants satisfied customers. I am a very happy customer and would recommend Repipe  1 to anyone wishing to repipe their home.

I can't say enough good things about Repipe1.  I usually work with smaller local contractors, but Repipe got great reviews and came in with a good price.  Plus, not many local contractors work with PEX.
Price/Value:
I believe we got a great price, especially given the fact that we have 2 kitchen sinks and 3 bathrooms.  In two of the bathrooms, we have double vanities and tub/shower enclosures.  Everything was upgraded to PEX.
Communication:
The guy I worked with upfront on a quote was kind of flaky, but everything after that was amazing.  The foreman was tremendous and communicated everything very clearly.  The call center communicated with me daily in order to make sure the city inspection was happening, scheduled, etc.
Quality of Work:
No complaints here.  The foreman explained everything very well and went out of his way to make sure that our shower valve was working with the new water pressure (it wasn't at first).  The patching was ok, nothing special, but we are planning on redoing the bathrooms eventually anyway so I'm not worried about the texture matching perfectly.  The city inspection went smoothly.
Overall, I highly recommend Repipe1 because of their stellar communication, value, and quality.

Repipe1 was a very good company to work with. Throughout the process they were very responsive and very easy to get a hold of. We left a message asking for information and someone called the next day which is when we scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Bill came out and was very helpful and was able to provide everything that we needed, including new water lines throughout, a new water heater and replacing of some sewer lines.

We scheduled our initial install and the repipe1 crew was here on the dot of 8:00 and were here until around 7:00 pm. There were around six guys and they plowed through without hesitation. Only one of the guys spoke English and he was very helpful and was able to accommodate changes that I had Mede to the initial plan. He went mid day to the county for the permit and provided it to me that day.

The next day the inspector came out which was scheduled by repipe1 made a few suggestions and signed off on the piping. They then called in the Sheetrock guy to patch the walls. The inspector had requested that we fill the walls with insulation so the guy asked my husband to go and purchase some so he could install it. He did a good job and again the inspector came, scheduled by repipe1 and signed off on the final.

Afterward the water heater was making a foghorn type notice so we called Bill our original contact. He sent someone out and it was the installer that had come on our install date. He said he couldn't fix it and that it would be covered by the manufacturer. He then called them for me and they said they would not cover the repairs. He then made several phone calls and finally got the company that he bought the water heater from to send a technician out to fix it. I was super impressed that he took so much time to make sure that this problem would be solved. He was great. His name was Carmello.

The tech came out today and fixed the water heater, just a bolt that was loose which caused rattling. And now we are completely done and satisfied. It was a long process and not completely without problems but what meant so much to me is that they never left us hanging and were always there to do whatever needed to be done.

And for the best part...I now have great water pressure!

Everything went pretty smoothly. I would definitely recommend them. They are very professional and very thorough on their job. Basically, they have to open up the walls, re-pipe the house, close the walls, and fix it. During the whole process, I asked them the way the house looked right now would be the way as it is and and they said yes, but after the work was done, they told me they don't do painting job and that was the last day of their work, so I have to get a painting job. Their price is competitive.

These guys are amazing. They repiped our whole house in just 2 days, including installing new faucet fixtures in one bathroom (though they did charge extra for swapping out 2 drains, which are not part of their normal service). The drywall expert came on the third day and did a fantastic job patching the holes in the walls. All we had to do was paint over the patches. The crew was on time, professional and cleaned up their mess completely. I am very satisfied.

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath single level home was built in 1963, it had galvanized water pipes and a combination of galvanized, iron and PVC drain pipes.
The crew of three promptly arrived at 8:50 AM each day. Day 1 was re-pipe. Main water was turned off and all old pipe was removed from home. Sheetrock was cut for access to water heater, toilets and shower pipes. Copper/PEX was installed and water was restored at 6:00 PM that evening. Day 2 was drain replacement and water filter/softener install. Water and drains restored by 8:30 PM. The workers placed tarps throughout the house and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were always polite and accommodating. The only complaint was the dust from the Sheetrock removal, but that was to be expected. The city inspector was scheduled for the following morning at 8:30 AM. The only thing he found wrong was the missing smoke detector in the master bedroom (my fault). The next day, Saturday, at 8:00 AM, the gentleman to repair the Sheetrock arrived. 6 hours later he was finished. Final inspection was on the following Monday, and no problems were found. These guy's are quick and did a fantastic job, we have recommended them to three of our neighbors on our street. We are so happy with their work, water pressure is excellent, and we can drink the water right out of the tap now, plus, no more clogged drains.

The job went great, except for a little delay on the start date.  They have a great repipe team that jumps in and gets the job done with as little destruction on walls as possible.  They have a great repair team that can in after it was all done and they fix everything....

Work went as best we hoped, knowing going in that repipe involves unusual noise and activity all thru your house.  That said, Repipe1 did an excellent job on our three bedroom two bath home.
The first day was the piping and by 8:30 pm or so we had water again.  The city inspection went well the next day (the inspector seemed more concerned about whether we had a stupid carbon monoxide detector than what he was there for) and the third day was about 6 or 7 hours of patching.  The paint where holes were visible were very closely matched to existing shades.  We noticed one damp slow leak connection on the dishwasher connection the next day and they were out the following day to correct it.
We did have comparable pricing from other providers, but the repipe1 warranty - be sure to compare their wording with others with the competition if you are going that route - and reputation made it an easy choice.

Repipe1 dugout the old pipes from the meter to the house and replaced it with a new copper line and valves. Pex plastic pipes was installed thru out the house with copper fittings where lines were exposed, There were tear outs in the walls to replace valves and fittings. They also added a water line hookup tor the refrigerator. The flash water heater replaced the 40 gallon water tank which required a dedicated gas line for the flash water heater. Repipe1 did this portion of the job in two days. They cleanup after themselves and kept the disruption to a minimum. Water was cut off during the day and restored at night. The City inspected the work the next day and approved the work. Had to schedule a date for the trench dugout and tearout repair. This took about a week due to a holiday and poor timing with personal issue. The repair work was excellent. All the tearouts was ready for painting and the dugout trench was filled and ready for replanting. The final inspection came with some minor correction to be repair. This took a couple of days to resolve. Overall I was very happy with the final outcome.

I first called them at the end of the day on Wednesday after we had discovered exactly how bad the leaks were. They said it was too late to send someone right then but that they could have someone to my house first thing in the morning. The man that came to do the estimate was very nice and seemed like he had been doing it for a long time. We only had two bathrooms and we went with pex after he explained to us the differences in cost and also how long the stuff lasts. We had only gotten a couple other bids beforehand on the phone but they were both notably higher. The next day, bright and early as promised,  a team got to work and finished a few hours after lunch. I was impressed that they followed through with everything and the city inspector said their work was solid.

The bid for our complete copper repipe including new main was the best I received for the most comprehensive amount of work, and I had received several bids. The crew came out promptly on the scheduled day and performed the initial work in one long day.  They were friendly, respectful of our space, and very focused.  Water was turned back on at 8:30pm and the guys left at 9:45pm after solving some last-minute problems that arose.  Our water pressure is greatly improved.
This project, however, didn't come without its generous share of frustration.  After the initial work was done, we noticed several things that were damaged or done sloppily the first time that required a couple extra visits to fix or replace.  Our crew foreman seemed to be immature, lacking in plumbing expertise, and willing to pass off sloppy work as "as good as it's gonna get".   This same guy also completely blew off a scheduled repair (of sloppy work mentioned above) for mysterious reasons and left me waiting around all afternoon. After this happened, Repipe sent out their best plumber to fix the problems caused by the previous guys.   He expected to just fix some damaged pieces, but ended up having to reopen the walls to fix mistakes made by the original crew.   So while the initial work took 4 days, the final issues were not resolved until one month to-the-day after the start date.
There also seemed seemed to be a lack of management and oversight of the crews on the local level, as well as a lack of communication between the local project manager and the head office and work crews, which caused a lot of the delay.
Repipe 1 offers competitive prices for the very comprehensive work they do, and they will stand behind their work to ensure customer satisfaction. I would advise anyone who decides to work with them to ask a lot of questions about the particular crew and how familiar your project manager is with said crew, and to be be vigilant for any substandard work.
Response from Repipe 1 Northern California
"Thank you for posting your review........ More than anything, I want you to know that we are happy that, ultimately, you were satisfied with the job. As the demand for our services has grown, I have become more and more dependent upon our employees to adhere to our primary purpose of putting the Customer first. As we add employees, now well over 130, we do the best we can to streamline the process and continue to provide the best bargain available. I am happy to provide jobs to our employees and help to feed their families, but with this also comes the "human factor". People are fallible. Unfortunately, sometimes this comes at the most inopportune times and will delay the process. I cannot fire someone because they may be having family problems or their wife goes into labor, or their child is in trouble at school. I can only attempt to recognize when this might take their attention away from the job at hand and have them "take a break" for a few days. We are not the type of company where we have plumbers sitting on a couch waiting for a call to come in. We are specialists in this particular industry and in many cases entire weeks are planned out and scheduled in advance. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. As I recall, the item that we are speaking about which had a delay in getting fixed was a faucet in the kitchen which needed to be "straightened"..........but again, I truly am extremely happy that you were completely satisfied "in the end". Repipe 1 does not abandon its' customers. Ever. Your job is done by us, and only us. You do not receive a "welcome packet" after you are "sold" and told that your job now belongs to another company. In many cases, especially in your area, these "companies" have already ceased to exist and we have gotten the calls to fix the problems for homeowners that can no longer reach the plumbers that purchased their contracts. I really do thank you for your input, and it will be taken to heart. Again, we are glad that you are now happy, and we truly appreciate your business. Sincerely, Jim Michaelson General Manager"

Initial work had to be completed by more experienced plumbers. Estimater  was very knowledgeable on how to solve problems and very professional and friendly. Dry wall patching was done better than when I had built the house.
