Dave, Jesus, and the entire team at Miconi Tile & Associates are the best! It's a rare pleasure to work with such great people — people who are experts in their field, kind and courteous, great communicators who are always easy to reach out to; great at setting and managing expectations. We've used Miconi for several projects now and will always rely on them in the future, for any tile-related projects, whether in the kitchen, bath or anywhere else in our home. On time, kept the work place clean, and the installation was exactly how we drew it up. The workers were very professional and respected the environment. I would not hesitate to hire these guys again.

I came to Miconi Tile when I wanted to tile an entryway area. Result: I'm completely happy with the tile, install, etc. I'd shopped around and hadn't found the tile I wanted. I was referred to Miconi Tile, and in this small shop, I found exactly what I wanted. Each person I dealt with (David, Jesus, Darryl, Juan) was knowledgable and also pleasant to work with. I never felt presssured to make a decision, however I was assisted in making a decision with which I'm totally satisfied. I love, love the tile Miconi Tile installed; it's a beautiful job!

David and his crew did a small bathroom remodel; they replaced the walls and tiled the entire walk-in shower from the framing and replaced the tile on the floor, about 50 square ft. David was very helpful with design suggestions and troubleshooting and was readily available for questions during the project. All the work was completed according to the projected schedule. The tiling was done by Alberto and his craftsmanship and attention to detail were superb. We could not be happier with the final product.

I just finished a complete bathroom remodel with Miconi Tile. And it is beautiful and I am pleased with the work done. Now to the people involved to make that happen I wish to give thanks: First, Jesus, Project Manager who work his magic coordinating everything and everybody for the job..and I cannot thank him enough for all the things he made happen for me. Then there is Juan, who did an excellent setting the wall and floor tile. He is an artist with his tile work. Now for Alex and Jose, who worked on the plumbing, walls, and new sub flooring. Excellent work they did here. David, owner of Miconi, I thank him for helping me do the planning for the project. And a special thank you to Daryl, who was patient with me as we worked through selecting tile in Miconi's showroom. He was so knowledgeable about the different types of tile and had a good eye for style and color.

I had a difficult last-minute issue with my tile that my handyman could not handle. Miconi saved the day by getting it done quickly and professionally. Great Work!

David’s team was excellent! We are very happy with the craftsmanship, cooperative spirit, communication & final product!

The initial process of prepping and painting the cabinets went ok.  The process fell apart when the owner of the business - David Shawn started behaving in a  profoundly unprofessional manner, repeatedly "flaking out" and not showing up to the job, or showing up hours late, without the right supplies/tools/workmen.  During the granite installation, he showed up 6 hours late keeping an entire crew of 5 workers camped out on my front lawn all day refusing to work until he showed up with the money I had already paid to him weeks before.  (I pleaded with the workers to start the job and offered to front the money again, but they insisted that David Shawn owed them $10,000 from the last job and they wouldn't begin until they had the money in their hands.)  This poor excuse for a business owner (David Shawn) repeatedly telephoned the workers every 20 minutes insisting he was "just around the corner" from the work site when in fact he was hours and hours away.  (Each time he spoke with the chief installer, his story changed.)   He was supposed to show up with a plumber to remove my sink so that the granite could be placed, and in fact I reminded him repeatedly that he needed to bring the plumber and not to "forget" as he done several weeks earlier creating havoc in my house for the granite installers.  I reminded David Shawn that my father was gravely ill and dying and that my husband would be in the home to let the workers in, but that I was in a nursing home all night sitting with a dying parent.  You would think that at such a terrible time, this business owner might make an effort to stop his lying and cheating and try to take care of his client.  On returning to my home after my father died the night before, I expected the job to have been completed; instead all the work crew was sitting on my lawn still waiting for David Shawn to show up.  Finally, they said they would have to pack up and leave.  I broke down and started to cry (as I was awake with my elderly father through the night who had in fact died, and I was just spent and exhausted and the crew said they would wait just a little bit more.  David Shawn cheerfully without a plumber in site showed up 6 hours late and tried to BS his way out of things:  "Oh, I thought the plumber would have been here by now".  This fiasco got worse and worse.  By 10 PM we were finally able to get back into the house and that part of the job was completed.  The rest of the job was stretched out by David Shawn for many months while he continued to BS me and pretend that the delays were because of miscommunication.  To my utter astonishment, the granite installers were not fully paid by David Shawn and they threatened to take out a mechanic's lien on my house unless I paid them more money because once again David Shawn flaked on his commitments.  After spending far too much money on this project, and after the nightmare of working with this low life, I had had enough and insisted that he was never to come to my house again and that I would hire someone else to complete the project.  He insisted that I still owed him $700 for the plumbing costs and I was just too "beaten down emotionally" to deal with this  sociopath.  Ultimately we settled (my monetary loss) and I found another contractor to complete the backsplash part of the project.  Working with this business was a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

As you read above it started with a large bid and then grew back to the same fee.
He would charge extra for installation of a soap dish ( $250) and also a different color tile to be installed when the design was mine in the first place and the tiles were already paid for. All this time he paid the tile setter, an illegal immigrant, an hourly rate.
I had a brand new top of the line shower head which he removed and gave to an employee thus providing me with a cheap model and then charging me for it. When I asked for my original shower head back he did not take this charge off my invoice.
A tile was out of alignment and when I mentioned it his reply was "Can't you live with that?"
He charged $125 for final cleanup which he never did and it took me several hours to get rid of all the tile dust inside and outside.
His comment about his customers, " You don't know what I have to put up with from these neurotic marin housewives!"
I checked the prices of the supplies I requested on line and with other dealers and his quote was double their price. When I tackled him about this he said, "Oh, OK."
He charged me $150 extra labor and $90 for paint for touch up work even though no painting was requested or required.
I had to leave the house and asked him to lock the door when he left. My home was left unlocked.
