I'm the owner of an architecture firm, and I've worked with Rye on large residential projects before, so I called him since I knew he's reliable. The project is a little on the small side for him, but I thought this would be a good example for Angie's. Rye showed up on time and was professional and personable with the client. He's really sharp, easy to talk to, but doesn't waste time. We walked the site and we were able to hash out a scope of work and a rough idea of what was needed. This project is a carport on a fairly steep down slope with a short cantilever, nothing terribly complex, but not a simple stem wall solution. Rye clearly described his role, how he does his work, and what the proposed time frame would be. After the meeting I relayed preliminary plans and elevations along with a refinement of the carport design including solar panels. Rye was able to get us a preliminary set of structural designs so we could put something in front of our contractors to get a decent idea of the cost of the project. If the client chooses to continue, based on previous experience, I know we?ll have great results from his firm.
