The owner Richard did the work and he did a great job. He's a great person to deal with, a really nice guy and I liked dealing with him. I have nothing bad to say about him. I had a good experience with Angie's List. We spoke pretty much daily about the progress. I didn't have any problem dealing with him.

We delayed this much needed work due to dreading going through the construction process based on our prior experiences with other contractors that involved significant project delays, cost overruns, and less than satisfactory results. We feel so fortunate to have found Richard at Bay Marin Construction. We are very pleased with the outcome and even enjoyed the process! Richard was exceptionally reliable, an excellent communicator, courteous and professional. Our home was kept clean and we were able to live relatively comfortably even though the majority of living space was taken out of commission during the work period. He understood our need to stay within our budget. Potential areas of concern were quickly and efficiently addressed. We were able to have absolute confidence that our home was well cared for under Richard?s supervision while we were away at work. Once you have worked with Richard Dobson, you will never want to hire any other contractor again. I?ve been working with Richard for twelve years, and we have done many projects together, both major and cosmetic, on two houses. We have done kitchens, bathrooms, a room addition, a porch, a new foundation, roofs, fences, and many details that have brought my houses up to the level of perfection. Richard works alone as a general contractor, and has a lineup of excellent subs, whom he supervises on the job. He also is an excellent finish carpenter, and gets in there and does a lot of the carpentry himself. But the best thing about working with Richard is the relationship. Client advocacy is his number one priority, and in any problem or dispute with a sub, Richard is a fierce protector of the client?s needs and rights. He?s always there, and always on my side. I feel totally taken care of and can just relax and let him do it all, and I know it will be done right.
