He first tried to use a Tri-blade rooter, but 2/3 of the through the line the monster roots in our clogged drain, BROKE the 3/4inch cable. We ended up having to hydro jet the drain, and that did the trick. The sewer line was flowing again. YIPPEE! But going forward this solution will probably not be permanent as the tree roots will grow back. David suggested that we do a "liner" that goes the length of the pipe and will keep the roots out because there will be no cracks in the line as there are with the present clay pipes.
