Chris Mendoza arrived exactly on time, calling in advance to let me know he was en route. He examined the wooden file cabinets which are part of a larger bookshelf system, advising me on the best locks to have installed. He discussed the optimal placement of the locks, the color choices, etc. and really listened to my concerns. I was particularly worried about damage or splintering of the wood because the file storage units are very high quality and a focal point of the room. Chris assured me no damage would be done to the wood and he could match the antique bronze hardware used for the drawer pulls so that the locks would look like they were installed by the manufacturer. He gave me an estimate of the cost for installing the locks and as it sounded reasonable for the work involved, I agreed to have him do the work. At that point, I mentioned to Chris that I usually select contractors that I find on Angie's List and he offered me a generous discount if I would agree to write a review of his work as he didn't have any reviews in Angie's List yet. The locks needed to be ordered and Chris advised me that he should have the parts within a day or two. The next day he called to say the parts were in and he could come the following day to do the installation. He arrived as planned, showed me the locks and consulted again about the best placement. He then installed the locks on two file cabinets exactly as he had explained. The work took about an hour  and he did a great job! The locks are barely noticeable and work well. Chris was very neat, clean and professional and I could not be happier with his work. I would definitely hire him again if the need arises.
