KB- Arias Construction

I will attempt to find the words to express my gratitude to Angie's List and KB-Arias Construction for making my dream a reality. I purchased a small studio condo in Long Beach knowing that it needed extensive work to make it functional. Not knowing anyone in the area and still living in Las Vegas I turned to Angie's list.
Sal and Keith (the owners) were not only able to handle the unique obstacles an older high rise building (11th floor / elevators) presented, but were able to complete this project within budget and with complete professionalism. Living a long distance away communication was important. They were able to take my concepts and develop them into a detailed work schedule / estimate, keeping me updated on the progress with emailed photos / video. A few unforseen situations occurred and through good communication and their knowledgeable input we were able to easily resolve them.
Their price was very competitive. The first meeting had to be on a Sunday as it was the only day I was able to be on site, and they were glad to accommodate my schedule. Needless to say I would highly recommend this team without hesitation.

I am very happy with the whole process, and love my new kitchen.

In September 2011 we decided to (finally) forge ahead with a kitchen remodel that we had been discussing/dreaming about for several years.  We obtained bids from three contractors and had a brief interview process (invite them over to the house, have them explain how they would tackle the job, to list any major concerns, to provide written estimate, timeline, etc). 

During the bid process, it was clear that KB Construction was the best option based on the following:
1. Most realistic bid (they weren't the cheapest and didn't promise the fastest timeline).
2. Demonstrated a solid understanding of what needed to be done, pointed out some things that we hadn't considered, etc.
3. Instilled a sense of confidence that we would be working with "good" people who know how to do a professional job.
4. At the end of the day, we basically felt very confident that they would do whatever it took to get it done right.

Once we settled the agreement, KB worked non-stop until the job was done.  We did not get into any delays caused by KB (if anything, we caused the delay while trying to make decisions, etc).  We didn't have any days pass by, wondering if someone was going to show up and do something.  Throughout the process, KB was very flexible and helpful to resolve any items on our design that weren't going to be good in the practical application.  The entire job was done on budget and on time, everything looks great and is professional looking.

In addition to the main kitchen project, KB also designed, milled, and installed custom drawers into a built in cabinet fixture.  In one case, where the intended design did not work as planned, KB offered to replace with an entirely new cabinet at no charge.  We did not request this, this is something they offered in order to ensure we were satisfied with the total job.  This was very generous and made a big statement to me: KB is proud of their work and they want to see a perfect job.

The entire experience was very pleasant.

I was really nervous about having so much work done all at once and wanted a new kitchen but dreading the process.  Keith was very confident and very assuring that this project was not going to be a "big" headache for me and that I was not to stress over any part of the process.  I didn't have much confidence especially when his team of guys came in and started the demolishing process and knew  we had crossed the point of no return with the cabinets, however my opinion quickly changed once I saw and witnessed how organized they were and how well they all knew about my nervousness and were quick to assure me that "everything" is going to turn out exactly like we discussed. 

What was really impressive was how clean they left the site each night and that dust and debris were kept to a minimum.  I did not have to clean up after them (that's the part I was dreading) and no other rooms in my home were affected. 

I love my kitchen and my only regret was not remodeling much much sooner.  I would definitely do it again, but only with KB Construction.  They were professional, work with a high quality of expertise and really listen to their customer.

We are in the process of remodeling a room  in our wine shoppe and needed the wood floor done ASAP in the office which is apprx. 180 sq feet. Since our normal contractor was tied up we decided to go with Keith at KB Construction. His wife is a good customer of ours and the last time they were in they dropped off his card and said if we ever needed anything give him a call...well, this was the call and boy are we happy. Not only did he show up on time and finish early the job was impeccable. These guys really know their stuff. The best floor work we have ever had done by a longshot. If I could upload pics I would show you how perfect the cuts around the various pipes and beams are. We highly recommend KB Construction and will be using them again in  the near future. Call these guys!!
