He checked the protections on my system to ensure they were up to date and working and did some updating and once again showed me what I can routinely do. As always, he never recommends I spend more than needed for my system and type of use. He wants the system protected but does not recommend purchasing things that will not make a difference. He never pushes products.
He explained the changes in access to maps and calendar from Google e-mail that were annoying me. They were the result of changes Google made without notifying users. I now know how to move from e-mail to calendar and maps and back as easily as possible.
He showed me how to manage some of my files to be more efficient.
In addition to addressing all issues on my list he looked at everything just to be sure all was working as expected and there were no problems.
We had planned for him to come to my home which is in the Santa Cruz Mountains just outside of Los Gatos but after his review of my issues list he said that the remote access system he uses would probably work. I said that I preferred to try remote access because it is more efficient. He said if it did not work or I did not like it, he would come to my home which he has done numerous times.
One of the reasons I always call Adrian is that beginning a number of years ago my connection to the internet was not usual. The major internet companies do not serve my neighborhood. I do not have a sight line to the southern sky so cannot use satellite. Adrian took the time to learn how my system works when others said we do not work on your type system. He did what was needed to solve my problems and ensure I had good service.
He has always been willing to travel to my home which is up a narrow, steep, winding road from highway 17; been prompt; communicated effectively; and took the time to help me understand what I needed to know.
He is an excellent communicator and focused on effective, courteous customer service. His charges are very reasonable.
