Clock Repair
Since I wanted it to be a surprise, I didn't want the clock absent from its usual place on the wall. So I didn't leave it as you usually would, but returned once parts had arrived to have them installed. The replacement work was done very quickly; a bit over 2 hours one afternoon. The clock is now back on the wall until its "miraculous" resurrection on the appointed day. We discussed adjustments I might have to do (which he'd have done had I let him keep the clock for a week). He was also very helpful in talking to me about adjustments to another (tall-case) clock that I can do on my own. This is really saving me a lot of grief! Thanks!
