Final Coat Painting

I thought having a positive experience with a painting contractor was an urban legend after having less than average experiences in the past year.  However, that is exactly what happened when I contracted with Peter of Final Coat Painting.  He arrived promptly to discuss the exterior painting of my home and sheds.  He provided a detailed estimate in a timely manner.  When I was having difficulties deciding on colors, he made a second trip across the bridge to assist me and also gave recommendations with whom I could meet to discuss colors.  When the date was scheduled for the start of work, Peter called to confirm.  Every day he would discuss with me the plan for the day and before leaving what work had been completed that day and what was scheduled for the next day.  He and his team were meticulous in preparing the surfaces for painting with washing, sanding, scraping, caulking, and priming.  Every day tarps were used to protect the space where work would be done and windows and doors covered in plastic.  In the evening, everything was cleaned up as if no one had been there.   Peter treats your home as if it is his with much respect.   I had wanted a different quality of paint as well as finish, and Peter discussed how this would apply to my job and what I might expect.  I explained that I wanted my home to be outstanding, but not standout.  He understood my vision.  When I asked about additional items that needed addressing on the first day of work, Peter readily agreed to do them even though they were not included in the scope of work.  He even washed the cover for my 18’ awning before putting it back up, and Rudy who saw me struggling with the 6’ non-motorized shade manually rolled it down.  I never expected this.  These are just some examples of how they go out of their way to have happy customers.  At completion of the job, Peter walked the property with me to review the job and ensure any questions that I might have were answered.  Neighbors walk by and are so impressed with the professional job and the finished product.  They know that there is something different about it, but don’t know what it is, but I do.  It’s the finish that I chose.  I hope to work with Peter in future on additional painting projects.  He allayed all of my concerns with his professionalism and knowledge.  You can expect nothing less than professionalism with Final Coat Painting.
