Contractor very concerned that the result would be what I wanted ...and it was. He added his input when needed. Very prompt. Work sites were always clean and equipment stored at end of work day. Always pleasant . The work took several months but I always had one servicing bathroom

The last job BREAKTHROUGH CONSTRUCTION performed was a masonry half wall around part of our patio. It was done on schedule, the price was right, and the finished work was strong and looks nice. We always like how the owner discusses everything with us.

All the work done by Breakthrough Construction was done in a timely manner. Often I have accompanied Mr. Fuenzalida to select the right and best materials for what ever project his company was doing on our home. This has always been a pleasant experience and his suggestions for what would serve best have always been spot on.

I fired them because they didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing. They told me that they were going to show up and do something but I still hadn’t heard from them two weeks later. I was very unimpressed and we mutually agreed that we were done with each other. I will not use them again.
I would like to respond to the contractors response to my review. The work was done in San Jose not in Santa Cruz on a Victorian. Breakthrough Construction started work in Oct 2004 and finished in Feb 2005. I was having a foundation put in under my house. Breakthrough was hired to do finish work. I have all the contracts that were signed. I am surprised that they could find no records of the work they did using my name. I paid them $10,480.
Perhaps they will remember cutting the gas line and having the police and fire department at the job site on 6th street in San Jose.

"Bad contractor experiences affect all contractors and customers. In our defense, Breakthrough Construction Service has never worked in the City of Santa Cruz. We've gone as far as '98 in our records and apparently she has not been our customer nor have we given her an estimate."

Breakthrough did an outstanding job; I was extremely pleased with them. They were professional and personable and very considerate of my home while they worked. They cleaned everything up nicely when they were finished as well.
