We solicited bids from eight pool builders and hands down, Zier Pools offered the best design with thoughtful consideration of our wants and budget. Jay and Gerry didn’t try to sell us – it was actually a full two years after our first meeting until we were financially prepared to move forward on our project. During that time, they were always responsive, answered all of our questions in great detail, and left us with the feeling that we’d be well taken care of if we worked together. Zier was one of the few builders that actually offered us a turnkey product, and brought creative ideas to the table in how to best address our sloped yard and use our elevation challenges to create a beautifully unique finished product. We had very high expectations going into our pool/spa build and Zier did not disappoint! Our project was completed in 10 weeks from dig to fill, and the process was surprisingly pain free. All of Zier’s subcontractors and in-house crew were of the highest caliber, paying close attention to detail, quality and craftsmanship. Our home (let’s call it vintage and a bit janky) and yard (let’s call it ugly and long neglected) certainly posed challenges, but Jay and Gerry approached our build with positivity and a can-do attitude, assuring us that the obstacles we had to work around would add character. They took care of things that other most builders wouldn’t address in their bids (most notable: rebuilding our fence, and providing maintenance tools and service to assist us through the start-up phase and support our transition to first-time pool ownership). Their standard bid offered a greater allowance for waterline tile and pool finish, understanding that most customers won’t want to opt for the cheapest options in their designs. This approach allowed us to kick off our project with a true cost in mind. I am a type A stress queen, and Zier managed to put all my anxious energy at ease during each phase of the build. I never doubted that if a problem arose, they’d take care of it. From a budgetary standpoint, I assume our project was on the smaller side for Zier --- but we always felt that we were taken care of and our project was just as important as those with twice, three-times our budget. Our finished product is more beautiful than we ever could have imaged, and we look forward to decades of fun and relaxation in our new backyard.
