THE CARPET GUYS

Had tile replaced in entryway, hall, and kitchen where there is existing carpeting butting against the tile. This carpet needed to be retacked after the tile laying was complete. There was more than enough excess carpet for Mr. Carpenter to trim and retack. However, in doing so, Mr. Carpenter cut the carpet incorrectly, left gaps and bulges in the abutting carpet, cut the carpet on my new travertine floor and scratched or scored the tile. He cut himself and left some blood on my light carpet and tile that I had to clean up when I noticed it after he had left. I recalled him back because the retacking was done incorrectly. When he returned to "fix" the job, he ran out of tack strip (which pulled up because it was installed incorrectly). Instead, he glued the carpet down, and said he would return when he was in the neighborhood again! Since he made such a mess of my carpet, I called him and told him not to return to my home. I had to hire someone else to fixed the job.
