I recently had my kitchen remodeled. Out of several contractors I chose Kitchen Pros. I was very pleased with their service. They have a store front in San Marcos where they make the cabinets and I could see the different styles they had and different types of drawers that were available. That was very important to me. Mark, the owner, came out to my house and gave me several ideas of what I could do. He was very helpful, and I liked his presentation, so I hired his company. A couple of days later Ron came out and diagrammed my entire kitchen and took the dimensions. He said it usually takes five to six weeks to complete. They have a very large professional crew. This company has been in business a long time and that was important to me too. They showed up on time, we’re extremely professional and very friendly. Not once did I have any complaints. Their prices were right in line with other contractors that I had searched out. There was always somebody to contact if I had any questions. My kitchen was completely remodeled in less than seven weeks. I am so thrilled with what it looks like. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and recommend them to any of my friends and family. I am so excited with my new kitchen.m ◦

It went exceptionally well! We expected from 3 - 4 weeks but it only took 2 1/2 weeks to get the work done and we are really happy with our selection of San Diego Kitchen Pro's to install our new kitchen.

"[Member Name Removed], Thank you so much for the quick and wonderful review. Myself, Darci, and our entire team enjoyed working you, and helping create a beautiful kitchen. I'm sure you will get great use out of those slide out drawers under your cooktop. As well as your bathroom makeover. Again, thank you for letting us into your home to create something for years to come you will enjoy."

Cabinet work went well - they showed up on time and worked with attention to detail, and got it done in the timeframe they estimated. I did find a few areas where the white cabinet paint ended up on my brown walls, around the edges of where they were working. Nobody had checked or offered to repaint until I pointed it out, and fortunately I had leftover paint. My bigger issue, however, is that after the oven was installed, there were serious dents in my new hardwood floor consistent with a sharp heavy object, and right in front of the new oven, and the exhaust hood was not installed properly. Ron was on vacation during my job, and Mark was busy in San Diego, so nobody even came to see what was wrong, but Mark tried to tell me the floor was just normal wear and tear, which it isn't. The exhaust hood installation was another problem. The installer had to hard-wire it where there had been an outlet, because the hood didn't come with a plug on the end of the wires. He jerry-rigged a metal box and left it with only one screw to secure it and left a hole in the back of the cabinet where the old box had been larger than the new one. Instead of finishing the job, patching the hole, and checking to see if all was working well, he just stopped. When I insisted that it didn't look finished and sent Mark a picture (see below), Mark said it looked fine. When the installer DID come back, he kind of shrugged and said "well, I didn't have another screw long enough." And on his return trip, he did put in another screw and patch the hole, but only after I nagged and had to take more time out of my life to be here to oversee. Then a friend who happens to be a contractor stopped by and was looking at the exhaust vent and pointed out that it wasn't properly installed. The exhaust hood was venting into the kitchen instead of out through the duct. I called Ron, and without looking at it, but only talking to the installer, Ron insisted that it had been properly installed. I had to have my contractor friend talk to the installer to convince him to at least come back and look, and we were right - there was a piece that had not been installed that directs the exhaust into the duct. As I write this, 8 days after the job was supposed to be complete, I"m waiting for Kitchen Pro's flooring contractor to come look at the gouges in the floor. I haven't paid the final payment yet because the job is still not to my satisfaction. The cabinets look good and the exhaust hood NOW works properly, but it was a painful process and nothing can restore my almost new (2 months old) flooring to its original condition.

Everything went smoothly with all the demo and construction and they kept right on schedule, so we weren't too inconvenienced. They kept the surrounding areas clean and neat while the construction was going on which made things a little more livable. I would recommend San Diego Kitchen Pros to anyone who's ready to do a kitchen remodel. The results will amaze you!

Arrived as scheduled and had the construction job completed in less than 3 days, another couple days for painting and hardware installation.  Eric is a master craftsman and his workmanship quality is absolutely the best!  Even my usual contractor/handyman was amazed at his workmanship and speed.  I can't say enough and so glad I chose them to do the job, as I had several other bids.  When I asked a professional cabinetmaker (who does not do refacings)  who had just completed a job at a friend's house who he would recommend for refacing, and Mark Oliver of San Diego Kitchen Pro's was his only recommendation.

One of the best vendors I worked it. We started with the kitchen first and then decided on working with them on the bathroom remodeling. I feel they may have more experience with Kitchens than bathrooms but overall the job delivered was exactly what we expected. Few small issues we identified during the process, however they were very good in fixing them on a timely basis. I highly recommend them.

It was fabulous. They did a full gut out of our kitchen and then, they did the bathrooms. In between that, they did my best friend's kitchen. Their experience went well and so did ours. They have a very good relationship with an appliance store in the northern part of San Diego, where we live. They take very good care of us because of Mark. They know Mark. We were missing one thing and the guys called. We were up in Northern California, away, and I called and they said, "No worries. We'll get it." I said, "You can't deliver unless there is somebody in the crew," and Mark, the owner, said, "Have it shipped to our office and we'll get it over there." Everybody said, "Why are you doing anything from a remodel standpoint and you're not onsite?" I said, "Because the first time, where I was onsite, it was fabulous, the way they took care of everything, the respect for our house." The parts they weren't doing anything on, they made sure that it was clean. So, I said, "I felt good." I was not onsite for the second one. It was great. With the first job, we did three bids as you should. With the second one, we didn't even go into a bid because we knew, based on what we got in the first one, that it wasn't going to change. Their quality and their price point is spot on.

SD Kitchen Pros are amazing.  Mark, the president, met with us at our home and we explained what we wanted to do with the kitchen.  He evaluated everything, taking his time to explain our options, and was able to produce a bid on the spot.  We were so impressed right off the bat as it was obvious Mark and his company really knew their stuff.  We had met with a couple general contractors before and they were very wishy-washy and took weeks to produce a bid.  We knew we had found our crew.
The execution of the job was perfect.  They had a demo and plumbing crew in the first week, a re-facing crew the next, then came the painter and finally the plumbers came back to hook it all up.  Ron was our main point of contact and he was awesome at answering our questions and making sure we knew what was going on and when.  This was a major job and we never felt stressed or concerned about the work being done.  We highly recommend SD Kitchen Pros.

We contacted the owners, Mark and Ron, who were extremely easy to work with.  They helped us with the design and scheduling of the work.  They laid out a schedule of work and stated that the kitchen would take approximately 3 weeks to finish. Our friends said "No way! Be prepared, it's going to take a lot longer." We moved back into our kitchen 2 weeks to the day that we moved out with only the tile back splash and painting (both projects not done by The Kitchen Center) to finish.  We loved the schedule and that the workers tried to stay on it.  We knew who was coming, what work would be finished each day.  Our kitchen turned out better than we had hoped.  What we didn't know when we got the bid was that it was only for the refacing, all the rest of the kitchen items were our responsibility: (appliances, granite, faucet, cupboard/drawer pulls).  This felt like a little bit of "nickle and diming" as we did not realize all the costs that would add up.  The total kitchen price was close to double the quote.  I wish Mark would have been just a little more clear with those costs.  Overall, this was a very positive experience.  Next time, I would ask the appliance company to install all appliances rather than the Kitchen Center employee.  He wasn't too happy to do it and ended up causing some "nicks" that needed to be repaired.  Thankfully, Kitchen Center did take care of that for us. :)
When I called to ask that they reduce our bill by the amount it cost to have the appliance company install our remaining appliances they did this for us.  Fair and honest company.
