The owner was patient and helpful during color selection, and arraigned for sample quarts at no additional cost. Transaction was easy, and scope of work was clearly defined and executed.
The crew had good attitudes and were willing to accommodate any adjustments during the week, and I never got the impression that they were pressured to rush the job.
Price was fair for the quality of work performed. You can always find someone cheaper, but that usually comes at the expense of quality.
We'll be calling them when we are ready to paint again!

Lucia Painting and Contracting did an excellent job! David Lucia's high standards, professionalism, artistic insight, honesty and trustworthiness are the reasons I highly recommend his company for any of your painting or remodeling needs. He has a skilled crew and uses subcontractors that are professional and polite. They also left my place clean at the end of each work day!
During the entire time my home was being painted and remodeled, David Lucia listened to my ideas and concerns and offered his professional opinion on paint colors and design. His thoughtful ideas and attention to detail gave me a bathroom I love. In addition, even though I made quite a few changes orders, everything was done in a timely manner and without problems. I think everything ran smoothly because he stopped by regularly to check the progress and quality of the on going work.
Since this is my second time using Lucia Painting and Contracting, all I can say is another stellar job. In the near future, I plan to use them again to paint the rest of the inside of my house and to remodel my kitchen!

David Lucia is the type of painter and contractor that I am happy, I hired. He is professional, thorough, knowledgeable about construction and paint colors, very easy to deal with and explains in detail each step of the process as it unfolds. His crew of painters arrived each day on time, cleaned up each day and painted to a high standard.
Due to the great paint job, I am thrilled with how my house looks. It turned out better than I imagined!!! Since I was floundering and needed direction with the paint colors, David helped and guided me with choosing the perfect colors for my front door and garage doors. In the near future, I definitely plan to hire Lucia Painting & Contracting for some indoor projects.
Through email and telephone, Dave and Noel kept us abreast of all developments. Their communication was excellent.
Dave himself did the power washing the day before, in order to insure all would be dry for the following day's painting. He did an excellent job and in fact, did more than originally discussed, like power washing debris and leaves from the driveway and additional exterior walls. He showed me the work for my review and it was really well done.
The following day, the crew of two painted the exterior trim and eaves. They were so professional, quiet and unobtrusive, that I didn't know they were there and completed the work before I went out to check on them later that afternoon. Other than the perfectly painted trim and eaves, there was no sign whatsoever that they'd been there -- not a spot or drip of paint or any trash to be found anywhere at all!
I cannot recommend Lucia Painting & Contracting highly enough. I will be calling them in the future without a doubt.

On the day of work, David arrived on time with 2 painters and thoroughly explained the job to them. The painters finished the job in 7-8 hours and did a great job. We were very pleased with the quality of work and the experience of doing business with Lucia Painting. They are highly recommended and we will use them again in the future.
The job was done well, completely, and in good time. No problems!

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. We had several painting companies come out to give us estimates, David's was by far the most thorough. During the estimate he gave us a ton of confidence in his expertise, pointing out things we hadnt even noticed (for example, two boards around our windows were beginning to rot and needed to be replaced) and he took time to really look over the house and give us an idea of what he could do. To give some background, the house was a hideous pink color and needed to be updated, but additionally the previous owners must have had an aggressive dog because there were scratches and gouges all over the exterior in the backyard. During the estimate he told us what he could do to fix the gouges as well as do some cosmetic work on these balcony posts that were very chewed up.
Even though his estimate was not the lowest we got, we knew that the quality of work he would do was worth the extra cost (and this is coming from some penny pinching folk, we almost always go with the lowest bidder to save our budget!) We discussed our low budget and David was willing to negotiate the price with us so it would still be within our budget. We felt very lucky.
The crew that came out (Marcos, Jesus and Carlos) were extremely professional and hard working. They represented the company well. They came early in the morning to get started and cleaned up thoroughly when they left in the afternoon. David came by almost every day to supervise and ensure the crew were doing what we had agreed upon. I felt absolute confidence in their competence and abilities.
When they finished painting the house, and fixing the chewed up portions of the posts, we were shocked at the transformation. It went from being shabby and run down to being the home we dreamed about when we bought it. David came out against after it was all done and walked around ensuring it was done to our satisfaction, and even with our critical eyes we didnt find anything that was left undone, or done poorly. I wish every home improvement company had this level of work ethic.
It was such a pleasant experience, when we figure out how we want to paint the interior of the house we wont bother calling other paint companies, we will go directly to David Lucia.
