Great experience using Dan, will use him again soon. Work was completed professionally and promptly without any unneeded upsell or pressure. My 2011 HP laptop was having fan issues which I of course ignored for almost a year...then the HD was acting up and taking forever to access files. It got to the point where I could no longer boot it up and that was back in July 2017. I looked through several other reviews on AL and came across Dan Pastel of Intelligent Solutions. He responded within the hour via e-mail and we also discussed my issues over the phone. We met at a convenient location the next day so I could provide the fan/heatsink I had purchased. Dan recommended a particular model of HD (solid state) which he had confidence in and purchased on Amazon with no upsell (I could have done so myself but more convenient for Dan at the time). He kept me updated along the way and made a few no pressure recommendations on malware program, applications and registry tools that I purchased when we met including a newer version of Office 365. He also upgraded my Window 10 version and set up an auto back up application. So in the end I had a renewed laptop with current OS and software I need for my home office. I should also mention he removed all of the "junk" software that is factory installed. My laptop boots up at lighting speed now and I am able to use it as I had previously intended it to, as my work laptop. I really should have contacted Dan much sooner. When all the work was done, Dan provided a tutorial on how to access and use various applications and some of the latest features of Windows 10. So I am very much pleased with my experience with Dan, he is first and foremast professional, honest and is an expert at what he does. On top of that his fee was very reasonable considering all of the time he put into resuscitating my laptop. I look forward to having him work on my personal laptop that essentially needs a "tune up" to make it work more efficiently as well. Please give Dan a try, you will be happy you did.

I knew as soon as I talked to Dan that he knew what he was doing and was somebody I could trust. He agreed that the fan was the problem but also suggested replacing the hard drive when I told him it developed some bad sectors about a year ago. He did not suggest replacing the computer because there was nothing else wrong with it. He did upgrade the power supply because we talked about the possibility of getting a better video card. He ordered parts on Saturday and I had my computer back on Wednesday morning, along with the old hard drive to keep as a backup and the old power supply to recycle. The only issue I have had is that I have had to re-register some apps and on some websites due to having a different hard drive and there is nothing Dan could do about that.

Dan provided a great service. He picked up my computer just as planned and returned with it a few days later with the fixes we had discussed. He has provided additional security features and a backup system that is easy and fast. Best of all, Dan improved performance of my computer and it now starts up in less than one minute from being shutdown. Dan is personable and a pleasure to be around. He is reactive to on the spot requests. We will be using Dan for all of our computers now.

it went excellent dan took his time with my computer and explored every option possible that might have been wrong with it. he ended up narrowing the issue to my graphics card which needed to be replaced. i would have had no idea if it wasnt for him.

Great! Dan came to our home in the evening to accommodate my work schedule which was much appreciated. In addition to giving me new, better malware protection, Dan explained why my tablet was running slow and what to do about it. He also looked at my desktop computer which managed to get disconnected during our move prep and he got it reconnected. He had great recommendations for the features of my new computer that would assure it would meet all of my requirements, as well as recommending a new printer and a plan for reducing the cost of ink cartridges. In all cases, he was very conscious of the cost ramifications. He also helped me choose a new email provider, get a new email address, and he transferred all of our old emails to the new provider. And in the process of everything, he gave me TONS of helpful information on a wide variety of computer-related topics. In the past, having a computer repairman visit was on my dread list right next to visiting the dentist! But Dan was so nice and patient and helpful and he never made me feel stupid. Each time we finished a topic, Dan would come right back with, "Okay, what else?" I look forward to Dan's help getting everything connected at our new house.

Very shortly after contacting Dan, he came over to diagnose the problem. The hard drive had crashed, but through a combination of expertise, patience, and meticulous attention to detail, he was able to get me up and running again. A new, better hard drive was installed, all my files have been restored, and my computer is now running reliably and much faster. Dan spent a significant amount of time de-cluttering all the junk that (A) comes bundled with the PC and (B) that had accumulated over 3 yrs of use. He provided valuable insight, suggesting simple ways to maximize security and protection. I am so impressed with his simple and straightforward approach, not to mention the fact that he makes house calls, I intend to have him do a quarterly tune-up from now on. He knows his stuff, his prices are beyond reasonable, and he really cares about customer satisfaction. I've already recommended him to several other people, and I don't do that unless I'm totally confident. The cost of repairs (including new hard drive) was less than $300. Very happy customer!!

Wow, how refreshing to find a professional and trustworthy individual to analyze performance of my home computer!  Dan Pastel of Intelligent Solutions is the person I now trust with my computer operation and security.  I scheduled Dan after reading many positive reviews.  Dan charges a reasonable hourly rate to visit your computer onsite.  Dan arrived on time for the appointment and immediately set to work.  I was highly impressed with his technical knowledge and ability to "dummy it down" so I could understand his suggestions on system improvements.  Also impressive was the speed at which he could navigate the operating system to identify weaknesses and implement solutions.  Dan operates at a fast, efficient pace and doesn't waste a minute.  A key suggestion of Dan was to change security software.  I used the Norton/Symantec/McAfee anti-virus software package which my internet service provider gave free subscription.  Dan pointed out this security software is very bulky, slows computer operation and doesn't provide malware protection.  Dan recommended switching to a more nimble security software which provides both anti-virus and malware protection.  I subsequently subscribed to Webroot software (which is both anti-virus and malware protection) and uninstalled Norton/McAfee.  Zowee, my eight year old PC now speeds along like it was new!  All credit goes to Dan Pastel and Intelligent Solutions - someone you can truly trust with your computer!

Dan is very knowledgeable and quick at diagnosing the issue. He fixed the issues quickly with no up sell which I very much appreciated. It was an excellent experience. Dan is very knowledgable about computers and offered me the best solution. I replaced my computer and had him come out and install the new one. Which was super easy for me and did not cost a fortune. He put in the old hard drive so I was able to save everything!
