They were wonderful!! Had to order one additional items and they processed my addition without any problems to match my original order.

It is nice to find a company that truly believes in "customer comes first." Direct Carpet Unlimited in San Marcos is one of them. We have used them for 2 different projects, one a sheet vinyl installation. the other a total house re-carpeting. Owners Rebecca & Tommy and their staff make you welcome at their shop. They ask a lot of questions, listen to your responses, and then suggest samples to consider. They do not try to "up sell" or steer you to whatever pays the highest commission. In our situation - klutzy homeowners who like red wine and own a dog - a Shaw carpet called "Life Happens" fit the bill. The installers for both projects were on time and did a professional job. A minor glitch with the vinyl install was quickly corrected by Rebecca at no cost to us. There may be cheaper flooring shops, but IMO any project can have something go wrong, so it's best to pick the contractor with integrity. That's Direct Carpet.

I was especially impressed with the way the owners stepped in after the man who came out to measure gave me what I thought was a final quote -- and then said it was not.  The owners were wonderful, and I was able to afford the final price.  The carpet is lush and beautiful.  A very professional job.  I really like that they are a local company, not a franchise.  Let's support our local businesses! 

Unfortunately, work was performed the week before Christmas and Direct closes that holiday week. The contractors they used ran into personal problems (truck tires slashed) and the work was not completed timely. We spent the holidays with flats of wood stacked next to the Christmas decorations. The owner, who was away on vacation with his family, promised to make good on this, and "it would be reflected in the final price". When the men returned, chastised by the owner, they rushed to complete the job, and cut through our internet wires. The owner's wife, who handles customer service, came with the store manager to access the damage done, and they did send out their handyman to repair it. And the final price was the original price...no discount given for what we had been put through. Just lots of apologies, and oh yeah, a canvas tote....with their logo on it.

We really don't have any complains. It took a little bit longer than what we anticipated but they make it by our deadline date. I was quite pleased with their customer service for sure and their pricing, we thought was very reasonable.

They were awesome!  Installers were extremely nice and did an excellent job.  Awesome company, we are going to have them back to install laminate flooring in the other three bedrooms and kitchen.

We couldn't have been happier with the service that Tommy and his team provided. We had them set up to do their installation of new hardwood flooring on three rooms in our home two days before we were to host a Holiday party with
a number of friends and family.
The crew showed up in a timely manner. They worked hard throughout the day and wrapped up the project incredibly efficiently. We were thrilled to have them finish the job in a day.
The crew was meticulous in their detail as well. I own a contracting business myself, so I am appreciative of a quality job done in a clean and tidy manner. The guys were even kind enough to field plenty of questions from our kids, who were off for the holiday break.
We would highly recommend Direct Carpet & Tile to anyone who is interested in a high quality job at a fair price.
