+ 0 moreI had contacted Costco to get an estimate on flooring. They contacted me and scheduled an in-home appt. They provided a quote for carpet and hardwood flooring. I elected to install the hardwood floors. The installation went well. The crew moved furniture to one side and finished installation on other side. Next day they moved the furniture to the other side and finished the last side. Furniture was returned to the original location.

+ -1 moreIt was terrible! The price was good but there was a miscommunication on the actual tile layers going up and it turned out into extra tiles laid. I do not know if their tile blades were not sharp enough but our tiles have cracks in them and the grout are different different colors. They never fixed it. It was a big deal. They would not return our phone calls so my husband decided to have a record of them not responding and they started responding to our emails. I would not use them again.
Description of Work: We used West Coast Flooring Center to remodel our bathroom.

Description of Work: We purchased some flooring from them. Then we purchased flooring for 2 additional floors, both hardwood and carpet. We had them install the 2 rooms of flooring. We were very pleased with our interaction. We are moving to a new home and will likely use them again when we need to redo our flooring.

Description of Work: They use subcontractors like most. This was new sub with lots of experience. The sub tried to charge exorbitant extra after finishing. I agreed to pay additional but not the rate of the subcontractor. Somewhere between West Coast and the Sub. West Coast was good at mediation because my contract was only with them. I believe they have severed relationship with this subcontractor

+ -1 moreI went to the showroom in Vista. Great showroom, lots of samples. Sales people are knowledgeable. I want low maintenance, not slippery and something that will be comfortable for my dogs. That ruled out carpet, and stone and ceramic tile. The store manager suggested luxury vinyl plank (VLP). It is a great product and it is what I will be using. I had a hard time finding a suitable flooring company in north San Diego county, and there were very many listings even between Angie's list and Yelp. But this company stood out for me. So I visited the showroom the week before Memorial Day. Memorial Day came early this year. So when the person did not show up for the first appointment the weekend after Memorial Day, I just assumed it was me, ad I was confused. But then we set up another firmer appointment for the following Saturday June 6, he was again a no show. And I have never heard back from them, so I don't think they really needed my business. In fact my impression is that they really prefer to do business under bigger contracts, such as for apartment buildings, or office buildings.

Description of Work: They installed a hardwood floor after removing old carpet and tile. There were a few snags including the crew leader not showing up for the prep due to car trouble. That cost me later when I needed to do a lot more clean-up because of the poor taping/covering of the cupboards. Never the less it was a very nice floor and they even had someone clean it before they left. I wasn't told everything completely before the project began, but it's kind of like the Dr. before a major surgery...it's enough to get you going.
