After we had called our warranty company, I got a call from Jerry's about a half hour later!  (The home warranty company said it would be 24 hours before we would hear from them....  They offered us a date within 4 days, I think it was, but that didn't work with our crazy schedules, so we settled on a date 7 days out.  The guy that came out was prompt, personable and no-nonsense.  He went right to work, checked out a few different things, found the problem right away and, because it was a special part, promised to order it and set up an appointment when it came in.  The part took a week to come in, and they could've installed it right after that, but our crazy schedules again put us another week out.  He came out today, and everything works beautifully!  We found out that he specializes only in heating, and that's how they work.  Some are plumbing guys, some heating.  Both this tradesman and the scheduler in the office were extremely professional, treated us respectfully, and were all around easy to work with.  We will use none other from now on.

Review updated.  Everyone who works under my sink breaks something.  I'll leave the details out, but no exception here.  I would have done better doing this myself.

Day 1
My wife comes home to a note on the door from the gas company that indicates we have a leak and the gas is turned off - call a plumber.  I was out of town for work .
Day 2
I contacted Jerry's Wednesday morning and they said they could send someone out between 1 and 5pm, so my wife took 1/2 a day off of work so she could meet with them.  The plumber arrived about 10 minutes past 4 and said he needed to isolate the line between the meter and the house so he could pressure test the line.  He crawled under the house and was under there for at least 15 -20 minutes, said he shut off the valve and said he did not have any more time that day and he would come back Thursday to pressure test the line.
Day 3
My wife takes another 1/2 day off of work because the plumber estimated he would be there at about 1pm.  He opens up the meter box to pressure test the line, and noticed an obvious hole in the line coming from the meter.  When he noticed the hole he said he could not go any further until the underground utilities were marked.  He said we would likely need to jackhammer the sidewalk and the driveway in order to replace the line from the meter to the house. The marking process could take up to 48 hours and he said he couldn't come back Saturday unless we  wanted to pay double time, so my wife made the appointment for Monday morning.
Day 4
I come home from work at about 4:30 to find that the street, the sidewalk, our driveway and lawn had been painted and marked by the utility companies in three different colors.  I decided to take a look for myself in the meter box and noticed the obvious hole in the line.  I decided to dig a hole to expose the line outside of the meter box to see how it looked.  This took 5 minutes.  I saw that the bad section was a 13 inch section of pipe between the meter and the first 90 degree elbow.  The elbow and the rest of the pipe looked great.  At this point I called Jerry's back to see about getting a guy out on Saturday to replace the 13 inch section of pipe as we were getting desperate to get the gas turned back on, double time or not.  When I called Jerry's the woman I spoke to said Saturday's were billed out like every other day and she could have a guy out between 11 - 1pm on Saturday.
Day 5
A different plumber showed up around 1pm on Saturday.  He removed the bad section of pipe, pressure tested the line and then replaced the 13 inch section of pipe that was bad.  I noticed that when he was removing the pressure tester that there was some water coming out of the line, but when I inquired with the plumber he said there was nothing to worry about.  After he left, I crawled under the house to turn the house valve back on (turned off on Day 2 by Jerry's Plumbing) and found out that it had never been turned off in the first place - it was on the whole time.  We then called the gas company out to turn the gas back on.   When the gas company came out they noticed that after they turned the meter back on the gas was not reaching the house.  They locked our meter back up and told us to call the plumber back out.  I disconnected the line where the line had been replaced and blew compressed air from the house to the meter and a bunch of water came out.  I blew it out about a dozen times until no more water came out and then put the pipe back together and called the gas company back out, by this time it was about 8pm.  The gas company showed back up about 9pm, turned the gas on, lit the pilot lights and we were done.
Day 6
Nothing happened
Day 7
8am - my brother-in-law notices a Jerry's Plumbing van outside our house.  He asked them (the original plumber from Day 2/3) what they were doing.  They had their tools spread out, the meter box opened and were preparing to disassemble the pipe that had just been replaced.  My brother-in-law explained that the pipe had been fixed / repaired by Jerry's Plumbing and they looked shocked.  They asked if there was anything else they needed to do, but there was not, so they left.

I am completely satisfied with the work that they did. However, when I called them the day prior to them coming to do the work, I told them that I would not be at home in the morning and so, I scheduled an appointment for the afternoon when I would be home because my husband does not like to be disturbed with things like this, but they came in the morning. They didn't follow my instructions, but it was not a problem because the work needed to be done and my husband was okay with it, but as I am the one that does the detail stuff on things like this, I w would've liked to have been here when the work was done. Aside from that, the work that they done was fine and everything is flowing beautifully

It depended on what installer they sent.   The first installer was going to install the new Sears water heater without the drain pan I had paid for.  When I asked about the drain pan he said, "It flew out of the truck on my way here."    I also said if he needed help lifting the new heater (after getting a new drain pan) I wouldn't be able to help because of a back problem.   He told me I'd have to pay extra for a 2nd person to come out to help.  While he left to get a another drain pan I phoned Sears (since they contracted with Jerry's plumbing to do the installation) , about paying for a second installer and was told the heater was normally a one-person job, that I shouldn't offer to help, and if they needed to send a second person, I did not have to pay.  Sears told me to phone Jerry's Plumbing office and tell them what Sears had just told me.   I phoned Jerry's plumbing, and they sent a second, larger person, to replace the original installer.   After that, and they brought a new drain pan, things went fine.

I bought a new water heater from Home Depot and chose to have it installed. Home Depot got in contact with Jerry's Plumbing and the next morning I had the new heater at my home. The technician was professional, cordial, amiable, and very clean. He double check all the installation to ensure all was connected correctly. He did not have to make any adjustments since he did it right the first time. The following day, the technician contacted us to follow up and ensure everything was working properly.

Everything was great. He was very clean, worked around the kids and answered questions as they came up. He replaced the faucet and the two water valves underneath the sink, put everything back where it belonged and also fixed another issue in another bathroom. The priced I thought was more then fair, especially considering he had to burn off two nuts to get the valves off. I will use "Jerry's Plumbing" in the future, highly recommend them and was very happy with attitude of John, who did the repairs.

Great, arrived shortly after placing the work order, the plumbers looked at both problems and gave an estimate of cost of repair. Once repair was authorized they quickly set to work and had all the problems fixed within a 1/2 hour. Bill was as estimated, they unclogged sink at no additional charge. i was impressed with there professionalism, courtesy, and focus on the project.

The garbage disposal was inoperative. The service technician, Greg, cleared it in less than a minute, then advised me on the proper way to use it in the future (run water first, add a little garbage at a time, sometimes, fill sink then let it drain to clean it out). He didn't charge the full price since it just took a few minutes.

Noticed the night before we had no hot water, tried relighting the pilot several times and it wouldn't stay lit. Called Jerry's at 8am the next morning, they had a guy at the house by 10am, he said if it was the thermocouple it would be $135, checked it out, that was the problem, he replaced it, and within a few minutes we had hot water.

I called ealry morning into into the office and the receptionist was extremely helpful. She was nice and professional. I scheduled an appointement for that same afternoon. They arrived in the window time the office had given. I needed my toilet repaired. Jay came out and explained that there was nothing wrong with my toilet, but I did have a problem in the main sewer line. He found a burried cleanout in the front yard that I had no idea even existed. He "snaked" the main drain and fixed the problem. I thought that my problem was bigger and more expensive than it turned out to be. Jay was effecient and polite. I would definately use them again.

Greg called about 30 minutes before his arrival. His estimate cost nothing. He replaced a faucet in the bathroom sink. Because we had purchased our own faucet, it did not match the size of the angle valves already in place. Greg gave us our options and made his recommendation. He offered a discount on the total cost of replacing the angle valves. He then went for parts and finished the job. While he was there he also switched the hot and cold cartridge on the kitchen faucet which had been installed incorrectly by a handyman previously. He did not charge for the extra labor which took only a few minutes. He was on the job for a total of two hours including his trip for parts. When finished, he cleaned up completely. He also pointed out that there are discount coupons for Jerry's Plumbing and Heating in all of the local phone books and allowed us to apply one to the total bill.

Great. He got here within the window promised, knew what needed to be done, did the work and charged the least he could under the circumstances. The problem was that I like to keep the temperature of my water heater low to save energy, but the limiter on the faucet made the temperature in the bathtub lukewarm. Guests did not enjoy that. I tried to remove the facet handle myself but was unable to do so - I had managed to remove the limiter on another faucet in the house - so I called Jerry's Plumbing. I made an appointment for the following morning and it got done. The one complaint I have is that when I spoke to the person on the phone I asked her what the charges are. She said it depends on the job and that the service person will give me an estimate for free before doing the work. She did not tell me about the $25 service charge just for getting the truck to my door. I do not object to this charge but she should have told me about it.
