Dusty Lady Cleaners

I was very disappointed with these people.  I asked for a deep cleaning with emphasis on baseboards and ceiling fans which I paid for and  didn't get.  There were so many issues like not lifting lamps to dust tables,  did not sweep or mop under furniture, did not clean counter tops in kitchen/bathrooms,  I could go on and on!  All of these issues and more, I pointed out to the main gal and she blamed everything on the other gal working with her. When I lifted the lamps off the 3 tables to show her the dirt, she replied, "she (her helper) didn't know this was a deep cleaning"  I explained that one would pick all things up from a surface before cleaning in any situation. Her response was, "well most of my clients don't have lamps on their tables and they don't want me picking up their stuff".  My house is very neat and orderly I just wanted help with the things that don't normally get done weekly or monthly.  In the past I've paid $160.00 for a "normal" cleaning so I just paid double and didn't get the baseboards done and only one of three ceiling fans cleaned AND I didn't even get a normal cleaning.  At the end of the day I gave the gal my opinion of her services or lack thereof and she said that I shouldn't have waited to tell her I wanted a deep cleaning when they had already started. 

Initially, she had a helper to clean with her. After a while, she said her helper wasn't available. Health or personal problems.  The first time, she had to go out to buy supplies and left her helper to clean. Once her son forgot his homework and that delayed her arrival. Twice she was later due to a driving infraction.  Once, she came in and immediately told me that her son was raising money for a school event. I was surprised.  She was implying that I make a monetary donation.
She often came before 15 minutes before 9:00AM and sometimes later, rarely at the agreed upon 9:00AM time we had decided upon. With no helper she started short cutting cleaning. She did not clean underneath the beds or sofas unless I asked her to do so. Corners and baseboards were left dusty.  The dining room table, bed side tables were dusted, but there were marks that still could have been cleaned with a damp cloth.
If I was not at the house, she left early. I noted her early departure since I arrived home several times before she should have left. Her work deteriorated as time went on.
The last time that she came, I discussed that I wanted improvement in her cleaning and mentioned that she initially had two people, did more and now was shortcutting. The last time she spent the required time to clean the house and did a good job.  I was willing to work with her. The following date two weeks later she never showed up. When I saw her at the Home Expo at Madonna Inn, she said she thought I'd fired her. I never said that she was fired. She made that up. I thought she'd do a better job in the future. Basically, she decided to quit.

I contacted Dusty Lady Cleaners by email to setup an estimate appt.
Melissa immediately responded and scheduled to come over in 2 days. She
said she would call before coming over. She showed up for the appt 30
minutes early and did not call beforehand. She walked through the house
and gave an estimate. She was friendly and offered cleaning tips on
certain materials. The cleaning was scheduled 2 weeks out. Melissa sent
an email 4 days before the cleaning with the date and time of the
cleaning. The time was incorrect (wrong client) but sorted out. On
cleaning day, I came home 5 minutes before the appt. No one showed up.
No phone call. No email. I emailed her a few days later to check in. She
said she showed up 11 minutes before the scheduled cleaning time, rang
the bell, and knocked on the door, but no one answered. Someone was at
my house all day and didn't hear knocking or the door bell. I asked to
reschedule the cleaning appt, but she didn't respond.
