*I had asked the owner, Shawn, to give me a quote on planting vining flowers on side yard. 6 months later, still no quote. I finally wrote about it again and he said he would order them and call me the following week. No call. I had to follow up.
*My sprinkler was seeping water and I asked them to come take a look at the valve, which was the problem. My father-in law was there and told them not to replace the sprinkler-it was not the problem. They decided to replace the sprinkler and two other sprinkler heads and replace 1 leaking valve and clean the other two. We would have been fine with the fix (and extra unnecessary additions)-had it worked. However, they did not fully test their work and the next day our sprinklers went on at 4 am and never turned off!! So they were running from 4-8am!! When I realized they were on, I tried to manually turn off and they would not. I had to have the neighbor's gardener help me! Shawn sent the worker back out to finish the job. They then billed us for both days! ($300) However the problem was not even fixed. They never even checked in to see if the system was still seeping water. We had to call them out again to fix the issue. another $150- (Shawn said that he initially only replaced the top part of the valve to "save us money" and the entire valve would cost about $80 to install.) Well, his "save us money" route was billed at almost $500. Sorry, not right to bill your customers 3 times for a fix that should have taken one time to fix. If you can't fix the issue, you don't bill for each attempt to try. You communicate with your customer and you give options before trying experimental fixes. Feeling a little fleeced over here! Not going to pay for failed service and broken systems. I told them I will pay for the actual fix.
*Once again, hedges need to be cut and Shawn promises they will be done. I emailed him for two months about the issue. They come on the promised date and leave after an hour with the hedges STILL NOT DONE. I call the office and the rude receptionist Nicole said they continue to work on them at our next services and they would bill us more if they send them back out to finish the job. Sorry, there won't be any more jobs for you guys. This was the final show of lack of integrity and follow through. Shawn is definitely not a man of his word.
"Hi [Member Name Removed] After years of service, we are very sorry to have let you down. We were informed that you had an HOA regulation after more than a year of service. Had we known that this would be a regular service, then we would have gladly accommodated. Our first service topping the shrubs was an extra charge and there was no issue the first time that we serviced the shrubs. We were under the impression that you wanted to make this an annual service. Again, we apologize. Your service did go to much of a mow and blow do to you turning off the water to the grass completely and moving your service from weekly to bi-monthly. We had met with you and had given you multiple landscape enhancement quotes and even a landscape design. We wish that there was budget available for some of the work. We understand that there was a leak in one of your valves and we addressed the issue immediately. The repairs were made in the same way as your previous valve repairs. Unfortunately, in this case the repair was more than the typical replacement and needed to be completely removed. We have deducted 38% from the total bill, which removed the total amount of our revisit on the valve you called about. However, the repairs needed on the other valves were necessary and need to be paid. We are very sorry that the credit has not meet your expectations"
any extra they charge you for-
I ask for trees trimmed and a sprinkler installed all which i think are routine except the sprinkler, and they wanted to charge me $350 to do it.
"Hi [Member Name Removed] We are sorry for not meeting your expectations. Our intentions are not to nickel and dime you. However, we maintain your rental property 4 times per week for only $112. Therefore, we must charge for extras. Unfortunately, the shrubs are more like trees. If they were not 25 feet tall, then we would gladly maintain them within the maintenance scope of work. Again, we are sorry that our pricing did not meet your budget and thank you for your review."
