Margret is a perfectionist whose work is art. She made time for my project when she was already busy with other projects, but because she knew I had a hole in my door she fit me in. She did what she said she would and charged a fair price. Enjoyed having her in my home very much!

Margaret was very responsive and able to complete my small job even though she was extremely busy. She even made a second trip back to San Leandro (from Lafayette) to have the job done same day. I would highly recommend Sea of Glass for any of your stained glass projects!

Margaret is artist, repaired 8â x12â curved glass piece in a 4â x6â window 10 feet in the air above our front door. While others told me the window would have to be removed, taken to shop, disassembled, repaired and reinstalled with costs as high as $3000. Margaret did the job for far, far, far less! Margaret Pederson, owner of Sea of Glass in San Leandro, promptly responded to my email regarding the possibility of restoring an extremely fragile, grimy hundred and ten year-old stained glass window that belonged in the family. After coming to assess the piece (in another county), carefully listening to our requests and advising us on technical matters, she sent an itemized estimate. When we asked her to proceed, she expertly cleaned, stabilized, repaired and polished the body of the window, and then customized its design to fit into a front door transom, again with our wishes and input foremost. We had several phone calls and emails to clarify the fine points in the creation of the piece. The estimate was revised in an above-board manner; she even absorbed some of the extra costs because of the complexity of the repair (which couldn't have been anticipated). The installation was tricky but she stayed steadfast until its successful completion. She fashioned an absolute work of art. We are thrilled with the window and with her. Her reputation as a first-rate restorer of antique windows throughout the Bay Area is entirely deserved.

We own a Brown Shingle house that was built in 1910. It was rented out for several years and three sets of leaded glass cabinet doors were extremely damaged by the last tenant - to the point where I almost discarded them. Fortunately, I found Margaret at Sea of Glass and brought her the doors. She said they were definitely worth saving. She ended up having to replace several pieces of the old glass, using sources she had to match to the existing. It took awhile, but we were renovating most of rooms in the house and we were not in a hurry. We got the doors back and installed a few weeks ago and they look GREAT! Margaret did a fabulous job for us and I highly recommend her services.

I have a beautiful stained glass lamp over my pool table that fell down one day and many pieces were cracked and broken. It was a sentimental piece to me and wasn�t sure if it could be fixed. Through Home Advisor on the internet, I was able to find Margaret of Sea of Glass Studios. She was able to replace all of the cracked and broken glass and even repair the bent frame inside of the lamp shade. It was a pleasure working with Margaret, she did an outstanding repair on my lamp, I couldn't be happier. She has many beautiful stained glass pieces on her web site that she designed. I would recommend Margaret to anyone, she takes pride in all the work she does.
