Reasonable price. Completed job as scheduled and within budget. Quality material and workmanship. New wood was coated with primer. The only glitch is the gutter. 2 of the end caps were unsealed. ( I used metal caulking to seal the seams). A week late, I find a section of gutters that trapped one inch rain water. It was corrected without charge after a few calls.

Within hours Ridout personnel responded to my call. Two men did the checks. They recommended I change the roof vents. They also reattached the TV antenna. It has withstood the latest storms.

They are really good. The guy who put the gutters in subcontracted with some other guys. He didn't design it so that it could take care of all the rain water. Sometimes when it rains heavily, it cannot handle all the rain water. In his design he didn't put more downspouts I think what he did was lift the old downspouts and just put them in and he problem is that the gutters are larger now than the old ones. We have large Redwoods around the house and those Redwoods shed leaves that clog up the drain. The trees belong to our neighbor's. We also have a Redwood but we trimmed it up quite a bit. The price was included in the roof job. The worker was okay but unfortunately when he was coming to work, nobody was here to see him. I don't know whether the gutters are covered with some sort of warranty.

We absolutely loved them. They were very well known and respected in our area. We are going to probably use them again when we do our gutters in another month or so. We liked them very much. We are going to use them again if they are still priced well or if they fall in the range of everyone else because we have used them and we know them. Their pricing before was very fair. They are timely and they do excellent work. They are also local.

They were very prompt, professional, and accessible. I got a leak after a rain and they sent somebody over to deal with it. They worked with my tenants that were there and worked on the day they were off.

Mr. Terry, the estimator, was courteous and always available for questions. The work crew was prompt and finished as promised. They cleaned up daily and on completion of the job.

The company started at 9 am with a crew of 6 and a hoist truck that took old materials and delivered new shingles and felt. Crew left at about 3 pm with the roof covered in felt and the new shingle bundles stacked on the peaks. The following day, no one showed up and a wind and rain storm tore some of the felt loose and let rainwater into the attic. This soaked an area of the attic insulation, dripped through a heating outlet in the living room ceiling, and dripped onto the piano and the wall-to-wall carpet. After 2 hours of calls to the company, a man in a small pickup arrived, saw the problem and borrowed our ladder to go onto the roof and use the shingle bundles to hold down the felt. This distribution of the bundles apparently should have been done in the first place. The next day, the crew arrived and finished shingling the roof but left the whole shingles, shingle scraps, paper wrappings, flashing scraps, and coils of nails in 3 large piles on the roof. More calls to the company leaving messages about cleaning up but without any prompt response. Two days later, 2 workers showed up about noontime and picked up the debris and the wet carpeting which I had torn out before it got moldy. At last the roof was done and the question of water damage was now the issue. The company paid for the material cost of the replacement insulation which I installed after scraping out the old 50's insulation and applying a mildew-cide paint on the attic surface of the ceiling.and for an area rug, (my choice) rather than wall-to-wall carpeting.

They get done pretty fast. They did a very good job. They cleaned up all of their mess when they were done with the work. I would recommend them and use them again.

They did a wonderful job. The contract was clear and concise and work began as scheduled. Their crews were great and left things as clean as possible at the end of every day and when the job was finished. The sales people and office staff are knowledgeable and were willing and able to answer all our questions, even the ones they might have considered silly.

THE CREW FROM RIDOUT WAS THERE THE DAY THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE. THEY WERE FRIENDLY, POLITE AND QUIET AS THEY COULD BE. THEY TRIED TO MAKE SURE I WAS NOT DISTURBED BY THEIR WORK. THEY FINISHED ON TIME AND THE JOB LOOKS GREAT. NO MORE LEAKS.
