They came out and cleaned my air ducts. I had the full service cleaning, including removing the motor from the system and adding a UVL system to it. It took about 3 hrs. Everything seems to have gone well.

They did the job that they said they were going to do and from as far as I can tell they did it well. I did feel a little pressured to purchase a $400+ repair and clean on my furnace.

They did an awesome job. They were highly professional, thorough and quick. I spent only around $800. They did the air duct cleaning for $49 and the dryer vent was free but I also decided for them to clean the motor in my heating duct and I also had them replace the insulation around the heating system. They were very well priced and provided excellent service. I plan to use them again this year.

First American Air Company is supposed to be a professional air duct cleaning place.  However, while one of the fellows was cleaning my air ducts the other one was fiddling with my furnace which had nothing to do with what I had hired them for.  I just had to pay $600 to get my furnace fixed because of what he did.  There is something wrong with what they were doing and I hadn’t asked them to look at my furnace.  My experience with them was horrible.  The actual vent cleaning service went okay but they went outside of their expertise area to do something that they were not supposed to.  I would not use them in the future.

My neighbor and I both hired them to clean our air ducts and dryer vents. Impressively they were early and called the day before to confirm. Two men came, one who was in charge and his assistant. At first the main guy was very friendly and seemingly helpful - explaining the process etc. But within a few minutes he was hounding me to purchase a full furnace cleaning, and he would not take no for an answer- painfully pushy, kept asking me "why not", following me around my apartment. His first quoted price was $800, which seemed very high to me, though I know almost nothing about these things. When I said it seemed high, he then dropped to $600 after the "let me talk to my boss and find out how low I can go" ploy - exactly like a used car salesman. My furnace has never been cleaned, so it's not a bad idea to get it done, but the pushiness made me suspicious and uncomfortable (I'm not going to pay $600 on the wire for something I know nothing about, especially after the way he'd acted). So I texted a contractor friend and asked him what he thought - he said it should be around $200. Well there you go. After I firmly put my foot down that the answer was "no" (had to say it 3-4 times), they couldn't get out of there fast enough - I'm not sure they even finished the duct cleaning job. My neighbor had the exact same experience: friendly, then horribly pushy, followed by a quick, huffy escape. Don't use these guys.
