We have been searching for a company to help tear off and rebuild a new roof/balcony with tile for our home. My Husband contacted Westshore Roofing Inc and spoke with the individual there explaining what needed to be done. He was told that they are busy with many jobs, but after my husband elaborated more on what was needed, she stated she would have someone contact us. The next day my Husband gets a call from an estimator from this company that states he "looked at our home from Google Maps" and "we don't want to do that type of work." He stated nothing else, no reason why they didn't want to do that job. It must be nice to pick and choose potential jobs you DO want to do...via Google Maps. I am appalled at the LOUSY response we had received and I thought it best to share on Angie's List since we found them here. I would not recommend them.

Westshore Roofing installed a new wood shake roof for us nearly 10 years ago and did a great job. Late this spring, following some very heavy rains we discovered some water damage to our ceiling around one of three skylights in our kitchen. I contacted Westshore Roofing to ask them to look into resolving the problem. As I stated, the roof is nearly 10 years old, an inspection of the roof found a cracked metal flashing around the lower edge of one of the skylights. Okay, here's the part that I'm impressed with, 10 years in and 3 years out of warranty, they repaired my roof, as agreed, for just the cost of the replacement flashing and so far I haven't even been billed the $50 for that. I am very pleased I chose Westshore Roofing, good people, good workmanship the kind of people you can be confident will do right by you.

Paul, Steve, Sven, David, and crew at Westshore did a fantastic job. They came and ripped out our old tar and gravel roof and installed a new IBroof. They're punctual, responsive, and worked with us in addressing concerns and issues. They were fairly quick in installing the new IBroof, but the last 5% of the job, installing downspouts took way too long than expected. Overall though, I'm pretty happy with their service and work. I'd use again.

Westshore was not the highest, or lowest price quoted. Work started as scheduled. Their crew cleaned up at the end of each day. They were professional and took pride in their work. We are very happy with the look of our new roof. I recommended Westshore to 2 of my neighbors, who both had Westshore install new roofs on their homes after watching them install are roof. Westshore is rated high by CertainTeed Shingle the manufacturer of our roof shingle.

They were excellent. They took care of all of our needs.

The roofing work done by Westshore roofing was part of a larger job to insulate an addition on my house. The addition has a flat roof so I decided to use blown-in cellulose. The flat roof also had some external duct-work that penetrated the old roof (for ceiling registers). Another company would remove and re-install the duct-work, and a third company would install the insulation. The estimate I got from Westshore roofing was not the cheapest, but relatively close. The superior IB roof system made the choice to go with Westshore roofing easy. Westshore roofing was very flexible in scheduling so I could have everything done in a week. After the new roof was put back on, they even came back the next day to work with the people who would put the ductwork back, to make sure the duct work was "compatible" with the new roof. The guys were very friendly, did the work in the expected timeframe, and cleaned up well after themselves.

I selected Westshore Roofing out of 3 contractors based on price (middle of 3 bidders), professional presentation, and the projected durability of their Gerard brand Canyon Shake metal roof. Their metal roofing option sealed the deal for me based on its relatively modest price (intermediate between standard roofing and wood shakes), attractive shake-like 3D appearance, and projected durability (50 years). As a contractor they had the basics covered. They showed up when they said they would, did the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up reasonably after themselves. My chief complaint about their services, and the only reason they merit a "B" rating, was a lack of craftsmanship and attention to detail. This was manifested in two ways: 1) they were planning to proceed with the roof install despite the structurally deficient gables. Why would I pay $25K to put on a 50 year roof if the gables are (literally) falling off of the house?!? I put the job on hold and they were responsive in arranging emergency carpentry at reasonable additional cost. 2) lots of little issues with cosmetics and detail work. All were small things individually, but it was a laundry list and took a while (over a month) and numerous calls after the main job was done to get things fully set. We were in the rainy season at this point, so I understand they were busy, but that's why I'd booked ahead! - they forgot to install one downspout and used the wrong color for another - DirectTV dish was left sitting on the new roof after being requested to take it down - telephone line strain relief wasn't reinstalled (dangerous) - downspout extensions took a month to get dropped off - ends of boards from new carpentry weren't primed - forgot to install agreed upon vent fans for kitchen/bathroom. - old flashing was left exposed on the street side of the property. All-in-all, they're a solid and honest company and fixed everything I asked for in the end with minimal nickel and dining. I would/have recommended them to friends, but only with the caveat that they will require a extra oversight and management to do a truly thorough job. For a standard roof on a newer home with fewer quirks I would expect a smoother experience.

Steve Pustelnik was such a pleasure to work with, professional, competent and extremely nice. Paul, the president, was flexible with the payment schedule and the foreman Gabriel,and the other workers did a great job! Originally we started the process in the summer but we did not finalize the contract until fall. We were scheduled out but due to the rain our date was pushed out. During those horrendous downpours in December our tenants were literally forced to put a wading pool under the leaks. It was terrible! Westshore Roofing came out several times to stop the leaks (at both units) but they were basically holes up in the flat roof. They could not be repaired. When they could not stop the leaking Steve went out of his way and arranged with the client scheduled before our roofs to exchange time slots as our tenants were living in horrid conditions! I think this was above and beyond the normal service! Luckily their other client agreed and we were moved up a week. If you remember those rains you'll appreciate the value of a week less rain in the house! Steve was really great at keeping me informed of dates and progress for both units. He was very clear about all scheduling and how to contact him and Gabriel. The contract was very clear, pricing was fair, service excellent. I got four quotes and went with Westshore based on pricing, reputation, product and Steve! I am definitely a very happy customer and will definitely use Westshore Roofing for any future roofing projects and highly recommend them to call Steve, he's the best! If there were 10 stars I would give it to them!

We replaced our roof when we decided to have solar panels installed. The solar company representative recommended Westshore Roofing to us. It was a very pleasant experience hiring this company. Not a single roof nail or any debris was found on the ground afterwards. They worked very closely with the solar company, as both jobs were completed simultaneously.

They came out and did an estimate and it went just fine. However, the price for what I needed to have done was going to be double the cost.

Paul was knowledgeable, thorough. The workers were friendly, efficient and cleaned up after they had finished. Very reasonable quote, the only problem was that they scheduled to start in October. Rain caused a delay by almost 3 weeks, Thankfully, they even came to temporarily fix as much of the leak as possible, which helped a great deal during the storm!

Initial interaction went quite smooth, things started to fall apart after putting down a deposit and an estimate of 3 weeks when the new roof would be installed. New roof wasn't installed until 5 weeks after getting my deposit, 2 weeks past their initial estimate AND I had to initiate contact, no one contacted me about potential delays past the 3 week estimate. When they arrive to drop off materials (a day late), no one knocked on my door to tell me someone would be walking on top of the house roof because they couldn't reach the rear yard with the truck (roof being replaced was in the rear of the property). Communication seems to be the biggest issue with this company, they are incapable of keeping their customers up-to date on installation timelines or having basic interaction with a customer during the roof installation.

The roof on my mother's house was in dire need of replacement. Paul Fowler, the owner, made time to meet with us on a Saturday, generated a formal quote and was patient to answer all of our questions for a roof replacement. When we signed the contract, we were scheduled out 3 weeks, and we were told what to expect- a 5 day job. We were very pleased with the timeliness and workmanship of all of the Westshore crew. The crew was diligent to clean up daily, and went out of their way to minimize disturbing the homeowner. Paul personally came by to inspect the work when completed. Overall- a very professional and pleasant experience- a 5 star rating to Paul and his staff. We recommend this roofer to all of our friends and neighbors

They were able to schedule within a couple weeks of acceptance of the contract. The tear off went as expected and cleanup was good. We had solar panels installed in conjunction with the new roof and there was excellent coordination between both companies so as soon as the old roof was taken off the roofing foreman and solar panel installer were there the next day to decide how and where to most effectively install the panels. We were very happy with the detail shown with the installation of the new foam insulation and the membrane roof. There were a few Items that were changed during the installation to improve the final product which we were in agreement. In the end we were very pleased with the end product of the roof and solar panels.

They were very efficient. Right on time. Worked very well.

Came out promptly for the estimate, but once I called to schedule gutter replacement, an entirely different story occurred. I left three messages, none of which were ever returned, When I finally did reach an employee answering the phones, I was told that their "first responsibility was to their roofing customers," so that was why no one returned my calls. I persisted, like a fool (look at the reviews on Angie's list) and finally I was able to reach Sven to schedule my gutter replacement for 8:30 this morning. No one showed up, and no one called. All done with this company. Forever.

They put each bundle of roofing shingles on the roof and sounded like they were dropping them to the point where it sounded like they were going to come through my roof. My house is older and so I was concerned that there may be damage done by dropping such heavy bundles up on the roof. Also the roofing job done to my garage was not satisfactory because the nails that they used are coming completely through my roof. They were also a couple days late on finishing the job.

The workers were quiet and efficient. They were able to coordinate their schedule with our handyman who was refurbishing the deck. They were professional from start to finish.

Great experience through and through. From start to installation to inspection. On time, no surprises. Kept worksite clean every day.

Owner had me wait all day to get an estimate. He kept calling saying he was delayed but would come by. Finally after waiting all day he called to say he would not be coming because he had another appointment in the peninsula. I agreed to another appointment due to the ad on Angies List which stated the price of a new roof was $6,600 including free gutter guards. When I asked about the price I was told my roof was larger than the one advertised and no free gutter guards either. The only reason I chose Westshore Roofing was because they were the middle estimate of the three .

It was really good. We got them from Angie's List. They were great. It was very reasonable. They were excellent. We didn't do it just by price. We talked to the people, got a feel for the way they do business and made a decision that way also. They had a problem with punctuality near the end. You never know, it could be traffic, it could be anything.

The owner was super sweet and friendly giving us the quote. Project manager ran into a snag due to roof abnormalities, but dealt with it gracefully. Complaint on billing, addressed satisfactorily by the owner.

Westshore Roofing did a great job. They arrived timely for the estimate and followed up on all questions. Re-roof was done timely and efficiently and all my final questions were followed up on.

Workers were on time.? Cleaned up thoroughly every day.? Worked quickly and efficiently.? Workers were friendly.

Owner arrived punctually and gave estimate. The workers did everything within a couple of days, and left the place clean and orderly.
