From start to finish the experience was great. I was so happy with them that I did not do a price comparison. I feel I got my money's worth! I had an area that was just dirt where the patio should have been. When I bought my home, there was a rotty old deck covering this bare patch. I tried using flag stones and vegetation but it never really worked...so I finally called the cement guys to patch it up.
First they gave me a rough estimate over the phone, which helped tremendously, to get a feel for what I would be looking at. Then Ignacio came out and inspected the area and gave me a formal proposal. I liked him immediately and felt confident to move forward. In my previous home I'd had extensive concrete done and knew enough to recognize a quality team.
Sure enough, they came promptly the next day, worked all day and finished and cleaned up with no sign of their having been there. I really liked that they dug down deep, included rebar, and hand tinted the concrete for the final finish. It was exactly what I asked for, a smooth tinted finish.
 I still need to arrange the plants a bit, but Ignacio even volunteered to have a guy come back and help me! I am so impressed by their employees, who were courteous and very professional. The work is great. They did a really fine job trying to match a motley colored tile that covers the rest of the patio. I couldn't be happier and have already recommended them to a friend.

The entire team was prompt and very helpful. Ignacio estimated the job and was on-site during each phase of the work. He was able to make sure our work was done promptly and according to what we needed. 
His staff (both family members and employees) all were courteous and hard working.  They paid attention to details during each step of the job and cleaned up well after each day of work.

It went incredibly well. Ignacio spent a lot of time with us working on the design and budget. While this company is not the cheapest on the market, in this case you truly get what you paid for. Ignacio's design took our breath away. The texture and color of the stamped concrete is beautiful. The extra patio space transformed an ugly weird patio to a masterpiece. The flagstone topped retaining walls easily provides seating for more people than we know. The color coordination between the concrete, the flagstone, and the stucco faced retaining walls is very pleasing to the eye. Unique' s crew is one of the best that I have had the pleasure to have working for me. I have never seen a harder working crew. The truly gave us a full 9 hours of back breaking work. The job superb Roberto was fantastic, easy to work with and to communicate. Ignacio made it a point to stop by every day. As with all construction there are issues, broken water lines, sprinkler lines, irrigation control cables. Roberto took immediate care of any and all such issues. He did a great job in keeping my stress levels low.

This may be the best hardscape company in the Bay Area. The attention to detail is exceptional. Ignacio has a designer's eye.

We love the result, and have spent more time outside in the last month than in the three previous years..

Got three bids from local concrete people. Unique concrete was very competitive on pricing and was very good with following up. There was a small snafu when they cancelled a day before the first scheduled work day, but Ignacio explained the mix up and made sure we would be taken care of. Workday the workers showed up early. Ignacio was there to make sure all went well. Workers were polite and efficient. Cleaned up afterwards. We had one small area that needed follow up and Ignacio was very responsive and had someone over the next morning to fix it. Our project was small, and most places weren't interested or wanted ridiculous fees. Unique Concrete explained there wasn't much money to be made here but they were doing this as a courtesy to build good relations for future work or referrals. We will definitely work with them again. Ignacio was great.

We felt comfortable with Ignacio from the very beginning.  He was prompt, professional, and price was competitive.  A great amount of work was completed in 2 weeks, with satisfactory outcome.  His workers were very clean and respectful of our home, and always left contruction site cleaned up daily.  Pleasure to work with tom to finish.

He is well worth money.  Does outstanding job.  They clean up every night after their job.  They are on the job everyday to see that things are completed and done right.  They always want to make sure things are done right.  They take a lot of pride in their work.

They did everything as promised. I have a pomegranate tree in a 50 gallon barrel that had to be moved and returned as well as cleaned up after themselves. They actually primped my yard to my wife's delight.....

This is not the first project Unique Concrete has done for us. That is why we called them.

Unique Concrete is an excellent company.  We were referred to Ignacio one of the owners by our designer.  My husband pushed me to go with a cheaper contractor.  What a mess, the owner never showed up, the work was not done correctly and the footings for the travertine patio were poured with cement from a wheelbarrow. I felt like I needed to be outside overseeing the job constantly.  One evening while traveling I got a call that the contractor had by accident broken our gas line - he said he had capped it off.  But, due to my inability to trust him I called a plumber to go out immediately.  I questioned why he told me this at 7pm?

 I was not only uncomfortable with the work but not happy with the type of individuals the contractor was sending to our home. 

I spoke with the designer and put a stop on the job, the same day - embarrassed I called Ignacio from Unique Concrete Creations - told him how unhappy I was and he came over within an hour. The job was on a hillside with lots of retaining walls. Ignacio recommended that I call calstone who was provider of the allen block wall to come out and see what they thought about the installation, this was the support for me to know it was time to remove the original contractor, the walls were being installed and had been installed incorrectly.  Calstone and Ignacio worked together to set up a plan to repair the work.  Ignacio took control and helped every step of the way, he let me know if we needed more product or if we would need to change something which would add cost each time allowing me to approve all cost increases.  In terms of setting up the travertine patio he took out the poor foundation and brought in a truck to poor foundation all around the patio with deeper footings at the hillside.  Everything was done so expert, all the individuals who work for Unique Concrete are professional, many of them family members. 

Ignacio took care of approvals for the gas line and my meter upgrade due to and upgrade in gas lines for our outdoor BQ and ultimate fireplace.  He also measured all my spaces and MDA to make sure we met the city's requirements and set up those appointments and made sure everything worked according to permits.  I would highly recommend Unique Concrete Creations.  I will never consider another company regarding my backyard work they are excellent and do long lasting work. 

Going with a cheaper contractor in the beginning is sunk cost and a waste of time and effort, dealing with that contractor and having to get rid of him took years off my life, life is too short.  Hire contractors who know what they are doing you cannot go wrong hiring Unique Concrete Creations.  I cannot wait to be finished and have the whole group over for a BQ they all feel like part of our family.

It went well. I had Unique add gas lines for bbq and future fireplace, drainage, and a new sewer line to cleanout. Weather was the only problem and the worked when ever possible.

I felt comfortable then as I do now. Just had them check out my drainage system, no problems.

I could not be happier with the results, even a couple years later.

The owner or his brother were on the job site every day.  They were very conscientious about the quality as well as the customer satisfaction.  If something wasn't satisfactory, they made it right..  They were very neat on the job site.  They cleaned the driveway as well as the construction area every day. The quality control was outstanding.  They made the communication very easy.

This company uses trained professionals and the entire job went smoothly without any hitches from beginning to end.  They also did a good of clean up after the completion of the project.  I had no complaints on any aspect of their job.

Very well.  On-time and hard working, happy people.  They did a terrific job and I refer them all of the time. Ignacio is very professional and has a lot of integrity.  I do remember at the time comparing his prices to others and realizing they were smack in the middle.  I plan to use them for future projects.

They did a nice job. It was a one time big job. They did the job quickly. All the companies we contacted were in the same range regarding price.

All of the above work were done over a period of a month.They were on time and fairy clean.Quality of concrete appear good.

They were absolutely awesome one of the best contractors I have ever hired.  They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even some things over and above without charge.  They even took out a tree that was not in the contract.  I can't say enough good about them.  As far as price, that's a funny thing because you get what you pay for.  I could have paid less but I don't think I would have gotten the quality.  I will absolutely use them again.

He was absolutely fantastic and was probably one of the best contractors I have ever had out.  He also put a modification on my patio cover which was fantastic.  He did a step for me on the back porch for free.  He laid travertine around the pool and did the stair even though it wasn’t part of the bid.  They had to put their stuff in the street and every night before they left they were out there with a shovel and a broom cleaning it up.  When they used my hose they curled it up and put it away neatly, they came when they said they were going to come, and they were the most polite people I have ever met in my life.  They were like an orchestra just doing the job.  I probably could have gotten it done cheaper, but you get what you pay for with this company.  I got and sit in the back yard every night now.  They were neat and clean, and they were just the best.
