We tried to discuss issues with the contractor on several
occasions, and each time reached an impasse. We then passed him to my brother
in law that happens to be an attorney, and Rob Fanti promised to deliver to him
receipts and prices for water filters in the contract and the water heater, and
he did not deliver the promised receipts and my brother in law found out that
Mr. Rob Fanti does not have contractor's license and does not have malpractice
insurance and lied to both my brother in law when asked several times if he has
those, and listed a business license number on his contract. My brother in law
had no choice, but to draw a Contract Dissolution Agreement, upon which Rob
Fanty ended up owing us $3,500.00 and we would return him the installed water
heater upon payment of the said amount by the said date. He did not pay on that
date and by that broke the terms of the Dissolution Agreement, and we were
forced to create installment plan for him where he promised to pay a certain amount.
He broke that agreement too, and paid here and there and only when my brother
in law called and told him that he was going to contact the District Attorney,
and you, and finally, he refused to pay the last $600.00, and I had to
personally call him and threaten him, after which he told him that he only has
$200.00, and then I threatened him some more by telling that I would sell the
water heater in the garage sail this week and subtract $600.00 from the
proceeds band only give him the rest which is what I was authorized to do by my
brother in law, and he brought the money to my brother in law's office and
after that I relies ed the water heater to him. It turned out that he had
$600.00 after all.

I called late (~10pm) Tuesday night and arranged an appointment for 9am the next morning to get help with a clogged kitchen sink drain. Despite being very kind to the drain (not putting too much bad stuff down it) I have had to regularly clean it once or twice a year when it starts draining water very slowly.
I had already tried to clear the clog myself with a 20ft snake without much success. Rob and Jose arrived on time and quickly setup a powered snake to clear the pipe and help diagnose the problem. They also checked for leaks in the crawl space since I mentioned I sometimes noticed a swampy smell but fortunately no leaks were found. Based on the difficulty in getting the snake through the pipes they diagnosed the drain as having a lot of calcium buildup which wouldn't be surprising given our house is about 60 years old and the water has quite a lot of minerals in it.
After about an hour of checking the crawlspace and completing the snaking our problem was fixed and we had some better idea how to prevent the problem in the future (Rob recommended replacing the 2 inch iron drain pipes with ABS)
Rob gave me a quote to replace the cast iron drain pipes going from the sink and laundry through the crawlspace with ABS and we will likely get his help with this if we see any more issues with clogging in the future.

Rob did what 2 other vendors could not; and he did it expeditiously and at a really great price.  Other plumbers wanted to sub contract out to cleaners and other niche skills while Rob and his team provided everything needed (skills, tools, knowledge).
Rob was extremely communicative, keeping me well informed on all progress and decision points.  Rob was courteous and respectful of our family lifestyle and worked around us well.  It is great to have found someone who is so dedicated to customer service AND is such a skilled hard worker.
The quality of work is tremendous and Rob stand behind his product with his word and guarantee.  I have already commissioned Rob for other projects and would highly recommend The Drain King!

Called Rob of The Drain King late evening due to tenant complaining his unit was flooded due to sewer backup again (3rd time).  I had just paid another plumber $1,100 to clear line, camera sewer line and install anti-backup device to prevent.  Obviously it didn't work!

Rob cleared the drain and made sure sewers were working on very short notice (and without additional emergency fee).  He even came back the next day to camera the sewer line to try to see what caused the problem.  He informed me that the 100yr old terra cotta sewer pipes had loose joints and evasive tree roots.  I did not believe him because the sewer line runs under concrete driveway with no trees nearby at all and because last plumber also used camera to scope out line and said no problem.  He setup another appointment to show me the camera and mapped out my entire underground sewer system.  He said anti-siphon device installed by other plumber was too far forward and would not provide any relief to the basement unit which has been flooding regularly.  He highly recommended replacement of a section of sewer line.  His bid was very competitive and despite additional work, he never tried to up sell me or find additional work.  After trenching about 40 feet of concrete, he uncovered two large tree roots 36' long a 6 inch diameter right exactly where he said backup was occurring!!

He replaced main sewer line. Rerouted all drains going to basement unit and installed a antibackup device and even redid  some of the old copper piping that was incorrectly installed in concrete.  He also trenched larger area at my request so I could run electrical conduit and he ran additional copper supply lines and drain lines for future laundry room.

He and his crew completed all work quickly and professionally.

I would highly recommend him from drain cleaning to major repair job.
