we were trying to remove a stump to plant a replacement tree in a very challenging location that was rife with buried utility lines (Power, Gas, Telco, Cable), at least the water was not running down the center as well).. They had the utility survey folks map out the locations and then by carefully hand digging and selective cutting of some of the root stock to get down to the level that the new root ball needed to be at they were able to ensure no interference with the utilities the grinder was put into play to clear the root ball of the fruitless mulberry that had previously been cut down... for an additional small fee Kyle even planted the new tree and mulched it in for us. Price was fair and while my gardener would have been less, once his shovel uncovered the root structure that was 8 inches under the top soil he ran for the hills saying the job was too big at any cost. We got our moneys worth plus some.
1) Measured the back gate entrance space
2) Count the tree - and measure the width of each - ex. 5 trees at 12 inches, 1 at 24 inches etc.
3) Clearly mark the trees with spray paint etc before they come. In my case I started marking the tree after the phone call and noticed I had two more stumps which they ended up removing with the quoted price.
