I contacted Mark and he responded quickly that he could do the job and be out on Monday, I called Friday afternoon and we were without a sink for the weekend. Two of Mark's crew were exactly on time and did a great job of enlarging the cutout. They were very careful and put down plastic and covered all the cabinets before starting and cleaned up everything when they were done. Highly recommended.

Mark came to my home and took measurements and gave me a bid for a couple of options on granite. Then he told me about some Quartz colors that were being discontinued for $99 a slab. I had just had my cabinets redone so I took my sample and went to the quartz store and found an excellent match. I went with two slabs so I did not have to have seams. The work took two days, one day to removed my old formica and lay down a template and a few days later the install. He sent me pictures while they were working on cutting and polishing at the shop. I could not be happier with the result. The workmanship was excellent. I went from a double sink over-mount to a single under-mount so I have even more countertop space.

This was a job for my own house and the fist time I have used Mark and Stoneworks. Perfect execution and I have seen a few of these jobs being a General Contractor since 1985. Mark (and his sidekick Walter) has an eye for detail and the business sense to carry out the job in a timely manner. Also very competitive prices. Excellent!

Mark and his helper, Walter, were both a pleasure to work with from project start to finish. They patiently and thoroughly answered the many questions that we had. During the time they were working on my son's kitchen, it was at times hard to tell that anyone was working on it because they kept the work site very neat and clean, especially at the end of each day. They also went above and beyond the budgeted time that was quoted to us. We chose a kitchen sink that was particularly challenging to install and they patiently and expertly installed it. We had also picked a type of backsplash that turned out to be difficult to work with, as it has many grooves and channels. As a result, Mark had to meticulously and patiently clean off the excess grout in the backsplash. He did not charge us extra for any of this work. In summary, Mark and Walter were true professionals. They were punctual, honest and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to friends and family.

Better than expected. We brought in the stone counter top piece and had a friendly informative conversation about restoring the top and how the plumbing was going to be installed. It was ready when he said it would be. I was impressed with how well it cleaned up, and the plumbing was a perfect fit. We got some tips on caring for a marble bathroom counter, and what plumbing materials would and wouldn't work with marble. The only difficulty we had was finding the place.

Mark was very professional from start to finish and I greatly appreciated his ability to work with us on the design to assure we ended up with exactly what we were looking for. Mark does a great job communicating, with emails and/or calls based on our preference. I had several other quotes done for this job and Mark impressed us the most and was very competitive in price. The end results were fantastic and I would definitely use StoneWorks again. Super Job Mark!

I purchased a marble counter top from Lowes, but it was too large for the vanity that I was going to use. An edge to be trimmed and then polished. I contacted Mark Plaza at Stoneworks via email and I brought the counter top to his shop, he finished it that day and it looked great, the price was excellent. I definitely recommend Mark based on my experience

First Mark is a great guy! He does excellent work and is very helpful with ideas and suggestions. He is very ‘picky’ about choosing the quality of the granite, which is a good thing. His seams on the granite in the kitchen are near perfect! I can’t say enough good things about Mark and his service! If you need new granite countertops, you will be more than pleased with his service, quality, and how friendly Mark is. Some photos of his work are below.

Mark Plaza is one of my favorite contractors. He transformed an old Eichler in Palo Alto I was preparing to sell. Mark removed old corian and tile on kitchen counters replacing them with granite. He also installed a bathroom vanity with granite top, mirror and light fixture, plus he demolished the old shower and tub in 2 bathrooms, laying new tile in the shower, tube enclosure, walls and floor. He suggested a great store that has high quality granite/tile for reasonable prices. He met me at the store so I could pick what I wanted - we found marble for the same price as regular tile for the baths, and wonderful granite for the kitchen and vanity. He was patient and accomodating as I looked through many samples. In fact, Mark is one of the most patient and pleasant people I know. There were many "Eichler" issues that we hadn't expected that Mark fixed, although they were frustrating. No problem is too difficult for him to figure out! All is work is meticulously thought out and executed in a very professional manner. When he was finished, it was perfect. He's amazing! Besides the excellent job he always does, he's honest and pleasant to be around. When I had other problems with miscellaneous things not related to his work he repaired them. He also has a wonderful partner who can do just about anything - so whatever I needed was beautifully done. I'm a Real Estate Broker and Mark is the only contractor I'll use for granite and tile

Mark came out for measuring and estimation shortly after we contacted him - we had a good idea of the stone we wanted so he began looking for a slab immediately and identified several. We were less sure about sink/faucet/tile and spent a lot of time going back and forth on different options - Mark was very helpful/indulgent in discussing these w/ us until we settled and got things ordered. The actual installation process couldn't have been smoother - Mark and his crew were outside waiting before the scheduled time each day (once w/ donuts for us), worked very quickly, caused no damage or mess, and everything went in beautifully. They finished when they said they would and the bill was below estimate. We couldn't be happier w/ the new kitchen.

Fantastic. Mark was everything we had hoped for. I can't say enough. We were told that Mark's biggest fault was "he's just too nice" and it's absolutely true. He's a master stoneworker--his granite seams are almost invisible--who can foresee what needs to be done in order to produce the best results. (He's a detail person even a fellow perfectionist can trust.) He perceives both the big picture and the small details and is unflappably professional if glitches do arise. He's ethical--he even meets his deadlines! As my dad used to say, "He says what he does and he does what he says." He was fine with us getting the materials (granite, tile, trim) and was sensitive to our need to keep costs down. He directed us to good places for resources. Moreover, Mark's easy-going, self-sacrificing, and fun. You'll see him as a friend by the end of the project. And as if all of this weren't enough, get this: HE'S REASONABLY PRICED, PUNCTUAL, and WON'T LEAVE UNTIL HE CLEANS UP! Do yourself a favor when you need stonework done inside or outside: call Mark. Honestly. Thank you, Angie's List!

I am extremely satisfied with their product and their work. The employees and the owners were very good about working with me and listening to what I wanted. I was very pleased that they let me decide what slab and what sections I wanted to use. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I needed granite counters installed quickly. Mark sprang into action and within a few days was able to start the work. He was extremely helpful, pleasant, continually gave me updates, and did a masterful job. The other company which measured and gave me an estimate failed to note the cupboards were not standard, and it required a special piece in front. Mark figured it out right away. There is a small seam on the front edge because of it, but Mark's work is so "seamless", you have to stare closely to even notice any seam at all. I've had a lot of compliments on the counters. Mark does incredible work!

Great quality and service at a terrific price. Mark Plaza is the owner and has a shop where they do the fabrications. They buy granite bulk from overseas so they are very competitive on price. Their craftsmanship was amazing as they noticed minor quality issues that we would have never seen.
