SerTech really knows their stuff. They are able to recommend the minimum repairs required to make unit functional, as well as other functional improvements (old components that should be replaced) and high-end aspects (matched tubes, etc.)
Actual costs were less than the estimate, and on time.

SerTech Electronics performs a valuable service in this modern age of throw away everything. For those of us who still have some of the wonderful high end stereo components produced in the 70s and 80s SerTech will diagnose problems and perform repairs that restore them to their original performance. SerTech will perform an evaluation and give an estimate for $30. If you accept the estimate the $30 will be credited toward the repair. My 25 year old Kyocera tuner had a soldered in battery to power backup of settings. It was also having problems with one channel fading after an hour of use. SerTech replace the battery with a holder and battery so it can be easily replaced in the future. They also replaced four capacitors that had failed. Now the tuner works like new. Given that Kyocera exited this business long ago it is wonderful having a business like SerTech to perform repairs.
As a two person independent business SerTech lacks only in the area of communication. Although they promised to call with my estimate and later when the repair was completed I ended up calling them in both cases after the promised time periods had elapsed. This is a small price to pay for the otherwise great service and pricing from SerTech.
