Shawn came out to look over the job and to give me an estimate. He was very thorough and spent over an hour with me to be sure he and I were on the same page regarding exactly what I wanted done. Before submitting his estimate, he checked with the City regarding code requirements. Shawn does all the work himself except on bigger jobs like this, where he has the help of Johnny, also a licensed plumber. A few days before they were to start, he brought Johnny over to introduce him to me and for the two of them to go over the particulars of the job. Shawn also had the utility companies come to mark off any gas or other potentially dangerous lines. Shawn and Johnny work really well together. They spent the first 2 days trenching, changing the main valve feeding these lines, and starting to lay down some of the pipes. The next 2 days were spent finishing the job, hooking up all the faucets (including one in an outdoor sink), and doing the job under the house. They left the pipes exposed overnight to check for leaks. The last day was backfilling the trenches and clean up. As Shawn devoted the whole week to just this job, they were able to take their time and do meticulous work with great attention to detail. They took their time because I requested that they do it this way instead of rushing through the job, so they didn't stay the full day every day. I'm sure they could have finished the job in fewer days if I had asked them to. They explained everything to me as they went along, checked with me to be sure they were doing what I wanted them to do, and always kept me in the loop. I always stress out whenever I have a job like this done, but Shawn is so easy to deal with that there was no stress at all this time. I will continue to use him in the future.
