S & G CARPET AND MORE

I've used them in my real estate business and they were wonderful.  They made it happen, and their pricing was good.  I would recommend them to anybody.

We had worked with S&G many years ago, and had a good experience back then, so we decided to hire them again in our new house - very bad mistake!!! Beware of Alfonso and his team! We had done hardwood floors throughout the house and were promised everything will be done within 2-3 weeks and that the team would be working exclusively for us with a warranty for the work and the hardwood floors. Reality was this: - The team of 3 guys showed up during the 2 weeks whenever they wanted. Some days they came and some days they didn't come or just showed up for a few hours. With the issues in quality and us having to point out issues the whole process took 2 months! - As per the warranty: we had multiple issues. In rooms where we decided we wanted the floors glued down we have several spots where the floors are loose. In other rooms where floor was nailed down, the floors are creaking loudly. We asked them to fix these issues and they came back drilling holes into the floor to pour glue (both where nailed and glued). The result is that we have now holes which are creating bigger holes due to the empty space underneath all over the house and the issues are still the same. They also walked through the glue and we still have footmarks everywhere as the glue marks only get removed with a special glue remover. We called them to remove that and they removed 80% of it, but there are still spots that look bad. All in All - don't hire them. If you really have to hire them and they tell you 'Alfonso's team' is coming, then make sure they send someone different! Very unhappy to say the least. I will never hire them again!

S & G did an excellent job overall.  I was very pleased with their work, and look forward to using them again for future needs.

S & G removed our old carpets and installed new carpets in 3 bedrooms.  Mike came out and gave us our estimate and showed me the layout of the carpets including where the seam would be located (by the headboard).  After installation, the seam in the master bedroom was right at the entrance.  We also noticed large scratches on the bed, the desk, and the door jamb to our bathroom.  I contacted them and they kindly reinstalled the carpet in the master bedroom with the seam at the headboard as originally planned and removed the furniture moving fee.  We are still left with a huge scratch on our bed and damage to the door jamb and desk.  I suggest moving your own furniture if possible.  The carpet itself looks great.

Arrived on time (huge rainstorm) and were finished in several hours.  Very polite and very competent  installers.  Moved the appliances and then moved them back and reconnected the gas and water to refrigerator.  All in all it was a flawless experience.  Would defiantly hire again.

The service was outstanding from start to finish. Gina listened to what our needs were (three giant breed dogs), gave us all of the options, with a full spectrum of prices, and helped us narrow down our choices. When she came to our home to measure, she was very helpful in making our final choice. Communication was always excellent. Alan and his crew, who installed the carpet, were on time, very efficient, very easy to work with and did an superb job installing the carpet -- looks absolutely great. We've had the carpet for two months now, and we're extremely satisfied. A big thanks to GIna, Alan, and his crew! Will be going back to them for all of our flooring!

All work was professionally completed on the scheduled days within the projects budget.

All personnel at Sand G were very courteous and helpful. I dealt with people in the Santa Clara office at 3660 Thomas Road. The installers arrived on time and the work was completed as scheduled. All work was done really well and cleanup was perfect. I was extremely pleased and would definitely use Sand G again.

They did two large bedrooms and a small one. I ended up really happy. Their prices were inconsistent. I went into the store to look at some samples. The one I thought I could afford was not as nice and the one I could not afford. I ask them to bring additional when they were coming to measure. I saw one that I really like but it and more expensive. He said he did it for another woman for cheaper. They did it for me for a cheaper price than what was in the store.

Everything went great, looks perfect!

We wanted to have carpet throughout the house, but decided to do laminate in the den.   The two man crew were on-time and completed the job early afternoon.  Shawna at the Almaden store was very helpful.  We took a very long time to pick out the style of flooring and she let us take many samples home for viewing.  We will be having carpet installed this fall.

The only reservations in my review relate to my carpet delivery being delayed; although, the problem was due to weather in Georgia when the and quot;big freezeand quot; happened…so this could not have been controlled. I will say that staff were on top of the matter and helped me to choose a comparable carpet so installation could take place my our move-in date. We love the carpet! I also ordered laminate flooring which I love.

The quote was reasonable. Very nice manner/person. However the carpet was not fully fitted/attached/finished to concrete floor along two of the four sides of room. I am sure it was a misunderstanding but I was at work during job. Note to self, be very clear with instructions for these small jobs. Less arm waving more written specifics. I would have been happy to pay more if needed, as he charged a fair price.

They did a good job - carpet looks nice.  But we had to follow up with them rather than them calling us.

When our house got flooded, that is when I decided to have laminate flooring. My experience with them was fine, they made a pretty good selection. I like one of their salespeople who showed me pictures and did the installation. She developed good relationship and helped me with, what I was looking for our other house and she also did the pricing for me.

They were excellent. They were very professional. They had good communication. They did quality job.

Then S and G rearranged their schedule so we got our new kitchen floor right away. They were so helpful and quick to action. We love the new flooring.

The work was excellent. They were on time, came in at budget and did the cleanup afterwards. They did a really fine job. I have used them twice before and they have been very good. I was very pleased with their work.

The whole experience went very well. The measurement person was on time. The installation people were early and everything was completed as promised.
The company worked to ensure that I stayed in my budget . I am very happy with the service and produce.
