Rooter Hero Plumbing Bay Area South

We engaged Rooter Hero when we were in an urgent situation. Our sewer line failed on a Friday night. With little time to research and tenants living in the house we had no choice but to use their services. We needed a segment of the line replaced. We had tenants living in the home, there was no water and we could not get any other plumbers out on a weekend. The cost to replace this small segment was just under $8000 and did NOT include a washout. It was not even proposed even though they told us we should replace the entire line. We later found out after having two other plumbing companies come and give us a quote that a washout should have been included since there is risk to the rest of the line failing. We also found out we paid 200% more than we should have. The other companies also did a video inspection and during that time it seemed the new segment had already shifted. We did contact Rooter Hero regarding the shifting of the segment and the over charge. They put us in touch with their 'compliance' guy who then sent out the SAME technician who did the repair to inspect his own work? This made no sense to us. We have since heard nothing from Rooter Hero regarding the over charge. I urge you to read BBB reviews before using this company. There are many claims for over charing and taking advantage of people with their pricing. It looks like they have had license issues in the past as well.

Jason clearly knows his profession. When snaking did not clear the blockage, he took the toilet off the floor and saw the blockage was not in the sewer, so it must be in the toilet P-trap. Repeated attempts at scraping out the calcified blockage did nothing. So, replace the toilet. He found the iron ring on the sewer pipe was so corroded as to be useless. Jason went out and got a new toilet with all the necessary needed extras. Installed the toilet and it flushes wonderfully. Cleaned up his mess and took all the trash with him.

This is a follow up review of my last review. After contacting them, Mario did a great job getting back to me a finishing the job. Very professional.

It’s started off well, with digging and installation of line being very quick. After I paid via credit line, I thought it would be done quickly. However, after the inspection, they disappeared, literally. They left a 2 ft x 2 ft x 6 ft hole in the ground right near our doorstep with the water supply line exposed. When I called to check the status, they said they were done. Had I not called to follow up, I may have never heard from them again. Very unprofessional, and I don’t recommend them.

When we called the company told us they would be out within the hour and they were.  They did what they said they would do.
The repair involved a lot of digging.  Despite it being a miserable day with heavy rain, gusty wind and lots of mud the tech dug away without complaint.  He repaired the broken pipe and left the hole open to make sure the repair was good.  He returned the next day to check the repair and fill in the hole.
