We have a huge Sub-zero fridge/freezer and until now there has been one company in town that could repairs on it. When the icemaker went out on it, I called and their answer machine said the wait time was three weeks for an appointment! With hope, I went to Angie's and called a different company that had a huge numbers of A's to ask if they could come look at it. They referred me back to the regular sub-zero repair people. When I told them the problem with that, they told me about Ray. They assurmed me he was very reputable and that he could fix my problem. That he was really good at fixing anything! I called him and he answered his own phone. He said he could come that very evening!
Ray arrived on time and got down to business. My husband got home and complained about the poor quality of the freezer's efforts, which I hadn't noticed because I don't use it all that much. He's the one that uses the convenience foods in it. Ray knew immediately what was probably wrong. He got up to the top of the fridge and discovered a condenser had gone out. He had a universal motor that would work for over half the cost of a sub-zero brand. He did the repair in no time at all.
He had his son with him, helping and learning the trade, which we thought was terrific. Ray cleaned upa nd was done in an hour. He made sure he explained what he did and also explained how to get the most out of our fridge and freezer, to make sure we were getting the most out of them with proper use. When he told us he does ALL appliance repairs, we were quick to ask for his card!! This man is a keeper!! He was terrific as a technician and a good dad too!!
