Did not choose them.

Rayne has delivered and connected water softener tanks, on time, for all these years and has been reasonable to deal with. Recently, I received several bad softener tanks, where water pressure fell, water tasted bad, and/or water was yellow after a new tank was connected. Their repairman came out once to troubleshoot and maintain the bypass unit, but the problem has persisted. I just canceled the service due to cost increases (don't see the benefit to it any longer) and dissatisfaction with the way they're maintaining their tanks.

Morgan Hill has depressingly hard water. We had two companies provide estimates. The other company was way too expensive ($3,000+). Rayne was in the range we were told to expect. Dan came out and talked us through the process, suggested we rent for a while to see how we liked it, and let us know that the first 3 months rental (and only 3 months) could be applied to a purchase. Installation was painless, we liked the softener, and Dan called right about 3 months into the rental. When we had him come by to purchase a unit, he didn't try to sell us the Cadillac version; for the two of us, he knew that the basic unit would more than service our needs. The swap of the old unit for the new one happened within a few days - painless again. We've had no problems working with the salesman, the installers, or the back office.

The company has been very professional and punctual. We receive a new tank every other week. We have had no problems. The person who replaces the tank is very good about making sure the gate is closed following the installation.

A representative came out once to provide a $1000 estimate to install. Told the rep. to do the job. Rep scheduled job to start 2 weeks later. No one ever showed up. Called the office. No appointment ever was made and no estimate was filed. Tried to get new estimate, no one ever came back out. Made 3 different attempts to get estimate. No luck. Had job performed by another company. I can only presume that 60 miles from office is too far or they didn't want to install a used unit. Corp. Web site states my location serviced by this location.

WHENEVER THERE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM, THEY HAVE RESPONDED IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT TIME, AND ARE USUALLY ABLE TO REPAIR IT DURING THAT VISIT. THEY WERE VERY THOROUGH DURING THEIR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE.
