Polo's Landscaping

Polo and his team are incredibly incredibly efficient and FAST. They seriously move like lightning so much so that the slowest parts of the process was US going to choose materials and waiting for the providers to ship them. There was a few things I would have liked done differently; he doesnt provide you with receipts or itemized invoices... he hand wrote the quotes for things and took our money with out giving us any real idea of exactly where the checks were being spent. Over all we were very happy with the transformation of the backyard. 4/5 :)

Polo was great and fantastic. He was very nice and he really helped us a lot in trying to figure out exactly what we wanted. He also gave us suggestions. I paid for all the materials that he used. I would definitely use his services again in the future.

Polo showed up from the first appointment to provide a quote, and all follow appointments at the scheduled time. Polo and his employees were punctual and stayed late into the day to finish certain steps or milestones throughout the project. They were always courteous and polite. Polo continually checked each day to be sure we were happy with his work. He did an outstanding job at our home and I would recommend him to others and will use him again on other projects in our future.

My wife and I wanted pavers installed in our backyard and a walkway at the back of our redwood deck and down along side our home. I called Polo for a bid and also got bids from two other contractors. I chose Polo because it was obvious he knew what he was doing. He asked me as many questions as I asked him. He explained every detail of the proposed work. While he has not done many jobs in our neighborhood he has done a lot of work in the Willow Glen and Los Gatos-Saratoga area.



One other contractor gave me a bid close to what Polo quoted but he didn't ask questions and did not explain his plan of action. The other contractor, a large one that advertises on the radio, was almost twice as much as Polo's quote.



Polo and his crew wasted no time in beginning work. They worked hard preparing the area and made necessary changes after consulting with me. Some of my ideas, which I thought were good, were changed for the better after Polo's explanations. He and his crew were always prompt and very conscientious. They always cleaned up at the end of each day.



Because I am tired of maintaining my 30' x 16' redwood deck I plan on having Polo replace it with a patio made of pavers in the Spring of 2014. I can't say enough good about Polo and I highly recommend Polo's Landscaping.

I had been thinking of redoing my patio for about 4 years. I saw my neighbor's yard and realized even more how much I needed a new backyard. My old concrete was cracked with the cracks growing wider by the month. I called around to get a few estimates. After all of this, Polo was the best price. He gave me the address to see a job he was currently working on and then took me to see some of his finished work. He seem honest and was not pushy. He was very honest. He wanted his clients to be happy. He worked well with little direction from me.

Excellent job done on time and within budget. Would use him again.

My wife read great things about Polo's Landscaping in a neighborhood mailing list of recommended contractors so we called him for an estimate along with a few other contractors. His estimate was well priced and well thought out. As we went along he mentioned other options for our consideration, but was not pushy. When we agreed on terms and started work, his team started the next day and worked for about 10 days straight. All were professional and responsible. Polo was very open to either work with other contractors I might wish to use for some related plumbing and electrical or make suggestions. In the case that I went with one of his recommended contractors he guaranteed the quality of the work with the promise to fix it if anything was not done correctly.

Our overall price did come in higher than we originally expected, but I consider this my own fault. During the job, my wife and I thought of a couple of extra things we needed and Polo worked them in with a reasonable cost. He also did make a few recommendations that I did decide to go with and I am glad I took his advice in all respects. For example, he suggested that the brick sidewalk be re-laid with a herringbone pattern rather than the simpler alternating directions it had previously been laid with. This involved extra work and cutting of many bricks and the edges and did add to the cost, but the result is better than I could have hoped. Polo was not pushy on the suggestions, but instead respectful of my wish to keep costs down, but cognizant of certain things that would cost more to do later.

He did a number of things that were above our agreed contract essentially for free to (in my opinion) keep the overall job quality up to his standards. For example, he used a sealer on brick sidewalks that was a higher quality than I had specified. And when he heard I was planning to add sprinklers in my front yard next year, he made sure the sprinkler controller and all related elements of the sprinkler system accounted for the later addition to make it simpler when the time comes.

After the job was finihsed, since it is easy to kill new grass, Polo has kept coming back to check on the grass and sprinklers every 2 or 3 days to make sure all is well. In a few small cases he has changed a sprinkler head or made minor alterations to fix any brown spots that were starting in the grass. And day before yesterday, he called me concerned saying my current lawn mowing company had cut the grass in a couple of ways that were not good for my new grass and he had someone come and do the job to his standards...at his expense.

I have been extremely satisfied with Polo's Landscapiing and especially Polo himself. I have confidence and trust in his work, his pride of workmanship, and his opinions about what will look good later (at the stage when it is hard to visualize the end result). I will definitely be using Polo for the remainder of my landscaping needs next year.

Overall they did a good job and I was satisfied with it. They were responsive when I contacted for estimates and they completed the job promptly as per the agreed price.

I was very pleased, overall. They were quick and responsive. They went over all of the plans before the agreement was made. Finished the work in one day and were reasonably priced (price is for labor).

The job required two full days of hard labor for two guys and included supplies. I am quite pleased.
