Customer service was awesome. I was nervous about the cross-country move, of course, and moving companies never have super stellar reviews. The customer service reps were always friendly and informative. Delivery and pickup of the pod in MA was punctual. The pods are small, but I had plenty of room to fit all my stuff, with room to spare. Delivery of the pod in CA was a couple hours late, but my boxes and furniture arrived intact. Pickup was timely on this side was timely as well. Very pleasant experience all around.

The people at PODS were really easy to work with. You set up a time and they drop off the storage box and you can take as long as you want to fill it. Then they pick it up and transport it to the place you are moving and hold it until you need it. Then you call and arrange the time for them to drop it off and pick it up at your destination. For us, the transporting was the most expensive, since we were moving so far.
To be aware of: They schedule each delivery in advance, so you may not get your first choice if you need it picked up or delivered soon. There are days that they don't deliver or pick up and if you don't live in a city, they may only deliver to your area once a week.
Before you call: Figure out for sure how much space you will need. I got a box that I thought was too small, but it turned out to be just right. That was mostly luck.
When the box arrived, it was clean and ready to fill. Since I got to fill the box myself, I was able to be really careful with some of my furniture, while not spending a lot of time on stuff that was less important to me. Also, by filling myself, I was assured that the stuff was packed securely and tied down in the box so it wouldn't move around.
I would definitely use them again if I were making a major move.

We got a quote from PODS and they delivered the pod to my previous storage location, I moved my stuff into the pod, gave them a call, they came and picked it up and moved it to the storage unit. When I need to go and access it, I go online or call in and book an appointment and they pull out the pods and bring them out to me and put in stuff or take stuff out and they put it back in the next day and I have been with them for 2 years now and I have only had one small incident. When I was moving from my old apartment to the new apartment, I had to go there and take stuff out of the pod and put new stuff in it and the so I went and pulled the pod and I confirmed with the guy that I would need the pod the next day so he said he wouldn't put it back but when I went the next day, they had already put the pod back in but they were very accommodating and they had the pod back out within 20 minutes. They bill my credit card directly so I have no issues with them.

Everything was fine until I called to ask them about pickup time. Then it was crazy. Every person we called told us something new about how much we owed or when they would come. They ended up picking up a day late (no problem), but they kept saying we owed them different amounts of money even though I had a paid receipt. Was not fun to deal with them.

PODS Moving and Storage were fine and no problems were encountered and nothing was damaged.
