What they did wrong: Final quality of the cards were poor due to cut and fold issues. Only half the cards (~50) were of acceptable quality. We needed to re-screen and keep 25 marginal cards to have enough for the service. - Cards did not line up on edge - 2 fold marks were visible as if there was an error during folding and they needed to be refolded. - Approximately 100 sheets of paper (~200 cards) were provided, yet all the paper was used to generate 100 cards. - No quality inspection (?); not enough time to re-print the job to correct quality issues. - I asked if this was typical of their quality and they responded "no". What they did right: - Pacific Printing was very responsive in identifying potential issues with paper choice affecting print quality of the photos (we switched from linen textured paper to plain flat white stock). - Initial concerns on color balance were corrected in the final print. - Requested the customer to provide a suggestion to "make it right". A price reduction was not specifically mentioned, but this was a non-starter due to the circumstances and lack of time for corrective actions.
