Oxley Works

David Oxley is conscientious, honest and does superior work. The major project he did for us was a kitchen remodel that involved rethinking our galley kitchen. We took down a wall that divided the kitchen and dining room and turned it into into a pony wall with the new gas cook top and copper vent-a-hood centered over it. The custom-made cabinets have cherry wood doors and drawer fronts. The crown molding includes some radiused pieces. David couldn't make those radius parts but he knew somebody who could and did. I haven't found another contractor in Idaho who knows how to make them. If I could give David 10 stars for that project and all the other work he did for us, I would. If you have a question about how to do something, David will have at least three different ways to do the work.

The project with the shop is still on-going but worked here last about two weeks ago on a weekend. The price is reasonable and does really good work. He had to reinforce the door the last time and he did a really good job on it and it didn't open up to the rain anymore like it was. I have a really old house and he knows how to fix the locks and worked on the old equipment to the house and there aren't many that can do that. He also fixed some of the bedroom locks for me too. I knew another family that he do the bathroom for and they just love it, it's beautiful, put in a new tile and did new cabinets and all that. The only thing about him is that it only takes a while to get him to come over because he's so covered up with work and you have to stand in line and wait for him unless it's an emergency like he has to fixed the toilet one time and he came right over and stopped the leak and all that but it's him for a while for regular projects. He's not cheap but he works with quality and I'd rather save up and use him than just get anybody. He doesn't have to come back and do it over the second time. The subcontractors that he recommended were really good and also with the plumbing when we did the backyard. I'm really pleased. He calls you back the same day when you call him. He always call me and let me know when he's coming. There's nothing wrong in what he does. I trust him. He also fixed my washing machine.
