My water main line sprung a leak so I needed a repair quickly. I contacted Moomau Plumbing based on positive reviews from Nextdoor.com. Debbie called me back and said they'd send someone out. Despite a mixup with phone numbers, I met up with a plumber and discussed how they proposed to fix the pipe. They suggested replacing it rather than repairing, and, considering the age of the pipe, I agreed. The plumber at first said that the concrete would not need to be removed, but when they sent the proposal, it stated that concrete would be removed. There was no official agreement, other than an email, to which I had to reply for work to get started. Nothing on forms with the normal Ts and Cs, which was surprising. One plumber, Rudy, came out and started breaking up the concrete. He started late but stayed late. He mostly worked by himself, and even worked on Saturday so that a hose could be connected from the pipe to the house and stop the leak. The following Monday I worked from home, expecting work to continue. I called Debbie and she said a Roger told her, in essence, the leak was stopped so I wasn't a priority, but they would continue work on Wednesday. Communication could have been better. Finally the pipe was installed through the wall in my garage and around my garage ceiling, connecting to the pipe next to my hot water heater. There was a very small leak from a new outside water faucet they installed which the fixed right away. The whole job took about 9 days, which was longer than I anticipated. For the concrete repair, that was not covered in the original agreement, so that cost an additional $700. Also not covered was city permits or inspection.

showed up on time. The owner himself and one helper, very friendly, got the job done no problems. Called again for estimate for new water heater, possibly tankless and repipe. We really liked Robert(the owner), and felt he really knew his stuff. Gave us some different ideas for how we could have the tankless water heater installed. Ultimately, we went with someone else for the job, as they were a bit better priced, and would also do the texturing after the sheet rock for the repipe. I'm sure Moomau would've done a great job, though, and we will surely hire him again.

He seemed very capable at the start but we ran into an issue when it came to the drinking water faucet. Rather than it just being sealed on top of my cast iron sink it was glued on and now cannot be removed without damaging the sink. I have had two other plumbers look at it and tell me there is nothing that can be done without sacrificing the sink. He didn't replace the parts of my toilet correctly. He also snaked the drain of our shower and didn't replace the drain cover correctly. It now won't screw back in. I just felt that there were some things about his work that weren't right.

Removal and installation of water heater. It took longer than anticipated, but unforeseen issues arose and the water heater was in a tiny closet off the patio which made access for installation more of a challenge. He avoided trampling the plants I asked them to watch out for which made me happy.

Excellent all around. Our water heater began leaking and one call was all I needed. We opted for a slightly larger unit and they were able to get the old one out and the new one in without any problems.

Debbie who handled our scheduling was very responsive and easy to work with in scheduling the initial appointment and subsequent follow up. Work was done quickly and we were pleased with the end result. We will absolutely be using them again if we have plumbing needs.

Robert arrives on time and gets right to work. He has a pleasant personality, and explains technical things in a way I can understand. He explains all options so I can make an intelligient choice. He was initially recommended to me by the company I use for appliance repair, after my complaint that I couldn't find a good plumber. I have used his services twice and been very satified both times. It's hard to find a good plumber, and that's why I'm happy to recommend Moomau Plumbing.
