Monarch had good design ideas. They worked through a number of issues that came up in our older house. We would hire them again.

Overall, Kathy did a nice job picking out colors for my townhouse. She figured out what works for my style and then guided me toward a palette of colors that work together. Also helped with hardwood flooring choices and carpeting choices. She also helped a lot with advice on contractors, how they work, what's appropriate charge, and provided some recommendations. Finally, gave a lot of pointers and even worked with the contractor on a large remodeling job. One thing was final price was higher than what she originally quoted and what I was expecting. Another thing was it would have been nice to get test paints to see what the colors look like on the wall and under different lighting conditions before committing. Some colors don't work so well at night.

"I ENJOYED WORKING WITH THE MEMBER AND ALTHOUGH IT WAS A RELATIVELY SMALL PROJECT FOR ME AND IT WAS HIS FIRST EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH A DESIGNER IT WAS FUN. HE HAS WILD TASTE IN COLOR SO WE WENT FOR IT. HE DECIDED TO GO WITH A LESS EXPENSIVE PAINTER THAN THE ONE I NORMALLY WORK WITH AND THE LESS EXPENSIVE PAINTER DOES NOT DO SAMPLES OR DOLORS. I THINK WE USED 10 VARIATIONS OF COLOR IN HIS TOWNHOUSE. AS FAR AS THE COST I JUST CHARGE FOR MY TIME PER HOUR AND ALLOW THE CLIENT TO PURCHASE AT MY DISCOUNT. A WIN-WIN! THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS!
